My husband and I were having game day yesterday and this was up for play. We gave up after the drafting phase (we drafted-passed-all the cards without placing any bunnies or doing anything) because we were so confused. Literally a few hours ago I bought 370 figures for this game for a very good price, funny thing though, I bought one 3 figure box back when this was still sold in stores.

Great video! I loved this game back in the day and spent more than I want to admit on it. I played religiously from 05’ till 08’. Sold everything I had when I left for college. I still regret that decision to this day.

I played the video game from a physical cartridge on Nintendo Switch. It’s pretty random with very little control over what cards you may gain (3 are offered and you may choose 1). Sometimes you reach the boss, sometimes not; it’s just a matter of trying enough times. It quickly became very boring. The fights themselves were okay effortless “fun”, but there’s no story, no lore, no world building, no character growth. Obviously I’m missing the intangible addictiveness and many fans boast how far they got. But it’s just you against a random card generator. The board game adds all the tedium of administration to this randomness.

Well... This is wild.

Man, the subtle puns ... the wry undertones... the clever phrasing... the clear telltale signs that you've actually played the game... superb. As for tarot sized cards... I love 'em. I love their feel and their tactical supremeness. Also... I love that my half century plus old eyes make them squint free. But I understand, everyone has their different annoyance points (mine are pizza box sized manuals you have to unfurl and read like you're looking for ants on a picnic blanket, instead of more normal sized rulebooks). Anyway, top notch as always.

I remember buying these as a kid at the local store. But I never used the rules or anything I just played with them like a kid would with toy soldiers. I still have all of them. The problem is the bendy plastic gotten sticky over the years. I remember my dad buying this big battle of hoth set for me one day.

Good stuff. I'm been split on which version to get for a while but this really helped me cement Uprising as my choice as a first-timer. Excellent work.
