indeed, the carb is an R8S item, on a 1100 manifold, with adapters to mount it to the 1397 head, good spot

@@Adeyspec I have a red S from 1970 from Italy without any rust and I have just rebuilt the engine, that is why.

Thanks, they are actually the original wheels banded a touch. I think they are 6 and 6.5 rear x 15s

yeah man, its very willing to move now rather then being coaxed along lol

indeed, not bad at all considering the small financial outlay

the oem brakes are decent with good pads, but being an RS you would expect them, defo a worthy upgrade in stopping power and looks though

@@Adeyspec I did this upgrade on my 182 recently. Very pleased with the result of course, apart from the brake squeal that I haven't figured out yet 😁

@@ripptorr ive got the same even with road pads in. i think ill take the edges off the pad with a file and see if that helps

@@Adeyspec mine came with a chamfer already bu no joy. I tried 3 different pads (the ds2500, Valeo OE and brembo OE). The squeal is identical so unfortunately not pad related

I very much like them, they give me more range and less movement of my hands when using them, Have a really nice feel too

its actually just a universal rubber trim splitter. Costs £10 looks well in my eyes. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186735379763 there are a few shapes though, I bought 2 in the end to find the right one. The link is just an example, hope it helps

You’re forgiven 😅 loving the series despite the elevator music. My mum had a couple of R10s in the early 70s and that’s where I learned to love fixing and building cars. Heck one of her R10s was a Jaeger auto.
