Super! 👌
What’s it consist of? The guts?
@@professionalhater2809 Two 4093 Schmitt Trigger NAND gates fighting a cage match.
That contraption is so cool
I thought mine was broken. Nope, normal operation.
The most genious looking synth ever!
What's in the box????
@M.as.e Unknown chip blob, some caps, a transistor and some resistors.
Unknown chip blob? Like the ones from cheap children's toys?
@AlbySilly It's a chip, but it's surface mount with no markings and not perfectly rectangular, so blob-ish? PCB by Moffenzeef.
@@timkaiserduluthwhy is it called cathode?
@robertmonroe9728 The original enclosure and meter were for a TV tube Tester. The label on the meter says, "Cathode Rejuvinator."
I’ve wanted this Buddha box forever. I wonder if Tim Kaiser will make one of these again?
Wow that thing make some heavy sounds. You could make some sick dubstep with that if you get some drums going
How strange! Haven't seen/heard an instrument like that before!
So epic
so cool
ALAS
What instrument do you play? Skull
Wavey
I figure this is what the ghost of USSR would sound like. Very cool! Reminds me of Soma's Lyra 8.
Best❤
huge fan, incredible works!!!!
Must... Obey...
“to be!…”cool

What a pretty sound 😊
can you mail it to my house please? thank you
That sounds a lot of the cave level in Super Mario World.
neat! after switching it off it sounded weird, is there anything mechanical inside that box?
Capacitor discharging.
Very Cool!
what does the rotary dial do? hands down the coolest musical instrument.
@platinum5168 it chops up the output signal. If you turn up the volume it is easier to see/hear the effect (@ 0:24).
Dude's gonna accidentally time travel...
imagine paganini plays dis stuff
I thought that the USS Enterprise went back in time to kidnap Humpback Whales to stop the creation of this thing??? WTH happened?? 😮😮😮😮
Let‘s call him.
This is what glimpsing God feels like.
Beautiful device and incredible output! The glowing effigy completes and complements the aural aura nicely -- it really ties the room together. Going to light a votive for St. Cacophony now... 🙏
All those dials and toggles...all those wonderfully hellish sounds...a fine, fun feat of engineering. 👏
my third eye has awakened and ive seen the light of god himself
At 13 seconds that blew me away, crazy!!!
With all the touring you do, how do you even find time to build these things? 😯🤯🙀😆
Hey! I have one of those little flashlights, too! Came in handy last night when I heard sounds in the bushes. At first I thought it was a bear. Nope, just another deer! And I see that you're in Duluth. I'm in Iron River! I might have to pay you a visit sometime, because goats and chickens and six dogs just aren't weird enough for me! 😆😆
You should put an adjustable brake on that rotary dialer to slow it down. This time I'm making a SERIOUS comment! 😄😄👍🏼
Lol
epic
Hey I am just curious whether you‘ve studied anything related to Electrical engineering or is it all DIY? :)
I took Introduction to Electricity in the 8th Grade (@ 50 years ago). I have relied heavily on visits to my public library and took lots of things apart to figure out how they work. When I was young, I couldn't afford the gear I wanted and had to fix and modify things to achieve the sounds I wanted. I'm no electronics whiz, but I've always been willing to fail on my way to finding what I'm looking for.
@@timkaiserduluth Great answer. That was inspiring, thank you very much!
The doohickey
I guess you can call hell with that?
No. Hell calls you.
It's alive!

HELLO TIDEWATER TEN THREE OH NINE?!?!?
triple atari punk console?
@hiroaritillwhen4581 Nope. Three transistors each in a Reverse Avalanche Oscillator configuration.
Can I... borrow that... for a couple three YEARS? 😀👍🏼👍🏼
