One of the biggest differences between the UK and France/Germany is that the UK is pretty low on the uncertainty avoidance criteria whereas France and Germany are quite high on it. So the French and Germans, for instance, wouldn't like their plans to be changed at the last minute, whereas British people wouldn't mind so much.

His work is flawed, widely crisscrossed, and even self contradictory, but still use it because you need a basis to do analysis. There's something wrong with that reasoning.
