Not really. You can have any shoes with better grip ie rubber outsole.

You will want to go up slower and then keep energy to pace up while coming downhill. You should aim to finish well within 2hrs if you pace well.

Please go to home page, go to calculators, race paces and you will find TUM under National races. Just put your goal and it will give you km wise paces
I did TUM 50k three times, never realized we had to do so much planning...

Whatever you have trained with. I go with gels, protein and carb mix bars and pre mixes of any good brand
