Tasmania may be known for its devils, but God has His angels there, too. This story is about a man, Mick Francis of Tasmania, who searched for the truth. His search took him through eastern religions to various -isms and theologies. After learning a lot about the Bible from Reformed preachers, something didn't seem right about their approach. Mick landed in a dispensational view of the Scriptures which eventually led him to a clear gospel of grace. His new perspective on the Scriptures led to a new approach to the Christian life that was based in trusting instead of trying. Mick is enjoying his freedom in grace. Hear and share his story of a journey to joy and freedom. #gracetasmania #freegracegospel #SimplybyGrace

Enjoyed this teaching very much. Cheers from Australia
I have often read or heard that ‘Calvin was not a Calvinist’, but I didn’t know why that is the case. This is such a clear explanation, and makes me look at Calvin in a very different way. It is mentioned that the doctrine of limited atonement results from a faulty understanding of total depravity - is it possible to have another podcast or video explaining that?

@@GraceLifeMinistriesOrg- Thank you!
@@GraceLifeMinistriesOrg- GraceNotes 46 answered my question about total depravity, but I have another one, a practical one. I deal with a lot of people from China, and it is surprising how some have lived their lives without ever hearing a thing about Christianity - especially those from rural areas. And others have been taught to despise all religions, and to believe only in “Science”. When they hear “You are saved by grace through faith…it is a gift of God”, their response is, “Then I want that faith - how do I get it? “. What do I tell them? If I say, “You must pray to have faith”, then that seems like a work! They might end up thinking that they can save themselves by praying until God hears them and gives them faith. So what should I say?
This was a big blessing to hear. I know many, myself included, that can relate to the bondage and misery of legalism and works based salvation preaching vs the peace ,joy and freedom once God's love and grace is understood. God bless you all...
Thank you for your wonderful explanations. Let the Lord bless you and your ministry.

Thanks for posting this podcast! It's so encouraging to hear from people with similar questions and difficulties in life and how God brought them through and taught them about His grace and love. I'm so thankful for the gospel.
29:10 - I love this point. Peace is something no works salvationist could really have, were they honest with themselves and consistent
Nobody that isn't wholly submitted to the Lord has any practical assurance of salvation. In fact, Jesus said that every branch in Him that doesn't abide in Him is broken off, they dry up and wither and then they are gathered up and thrown into the fire. You can interpret that however you want but the fact of the matter is that assurance comes from faith and obedience regardless of what your soteriological views are. You might believe objectively that you can't lose your salvation, but if you are not walking in the light, there is absolutely no way whatsoever that you will have any Holy Spirit inspired assurance that you are saved. Practical assurance is tied to faith and obedience regardless of what anyone says. If someone has assurance while they are actively living in unrepentant sin, I question whether they've ever been grafted into the vine to begin with. There will be plenty of people that are self deceived like that, whom the Lord will say to them "I never knew you" In fact, Jesus himself highlights the foolishness of calling him Lord, Lord, while not doing what He says (Luke 6:46). That suggests to me that if you are not pursuing Jesus and a life of righteousness , he thinks you having assurance of salvation is absolutely silly and ridiculous. Salvation is about a relationship that's grounded in love. Jesus said, "If you love me , you will keep my commandments" (John 14:15). He says you are my friends IF you do what I command you (John 15:14). Furthermore, John says one of the ways that we can have assurance is by observing whether or not we keep his commandments (1 John 2:3-5). In fact, Those verses say that if we dont keep his commandments but say that we know Him, we are a liar and the truth is not in us. If you wanna say that you cant judge by someone's works whether they are in the faith because theres no way to determine how many good works you must have to qualify, then you have to contradict John and Jesus and Paul (2 Cor 13:5), and Peter for that matter (2 Pet 1:10), and the other fact of the matter is its not even a specific number of good works that matters, its the trajectory of your life and attitude and motives that matter. How many hairs do you have to have on your face to say you have a beard? 1,2,3,40,60,100? There is no specific number, but you know when someone has a beard and when they dont.Im sorry, but believing free grace or once saved always saved will do nothing to provide genuine assurance, but it can do plenty to provide false assurance.
Amen! I know im going to heaven!! Its by Grace alone in Christ alone!!! Solofida!!! Not by my filthy works of righteousness but by Christ righteousness I'm saved!!! ❤❤❤
Excellent teaching Dr. Bing. As a Free Grace proponent myself, it's overwhelming to me how widespread Lordship Salvation has become. As I search for a pastorate (Lord willing), I find myself discouraged in that around 90 percent of churches I speak with have some form of works; wether frontloaded or backloaded to the Gospel. God bless your ministry!
The way is narrow, and few will find it.
❤
Free grace. That’s like saying a heavy ton. Or maybe a dead skeleton.
How about "free gift"? Well, it's called that because so many people think they have to earn God's grace. But we don't. It's a free gift.

I love you Charlie Bing! Keep preaching it!
Thank you for doing this interview. It is important to be aware of the beliefs of popular teachers. I think Phil's closing illustration of slow poisoning is very relevant. Works righteousness isn't only detrimental for salvation (it can't save us), but it's also detrimental to the Christian life.
I love Phil's work!
Really enjoy this app. Charlie's ministry is a blessing and are pointing others to add this as a good resource for their bible studies.
What a breath of fresh air! So glad to hear people believing in the gospel of grace.
I definitely think rewards are an important topic . In regard to the overcomers in Rev that the overcomers are believers. It is the same as seen in these passages compared.. 2 Tim 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 1John 4:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. Revelation 2 matches Both 2 Tim and 1 John. Overcometh is the believer and suffering/enduring believers will have the right to rule and reign with Christ.
Thank you for this message and reminder brother Charlie.
Thank you for your story! Jesus Christ paid it all on Calvary!

Thank you Matt and Emily for sharing your journey. I grew up in west Michigan with a Calvinist and Lordship Salvation background. I had horrible doubts about my salvation for years until I heard the gospel in Bible college. It took months for me to finally accept and believe that eternal life is a free gift to anyone who believes. The gospel is a wonderful message.
I very much enjoyed hearing y'alls interview and journey out of both Calvinism and lordship theologies and embracing God's grace on a whole new level. God bless, Your brother in Christ 😊
How To Be Simply Saved. 1. The bad News. We are sinners. (Romans 3:23.) We deserve to be punished in hell for our sins. 2. The Good News. Jesus Christ who is God’s Son died on the cross for all of your sins. He was buried & rose again to give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Romans 6:23.) 3. How am I saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31.) 4. Once saved, always saved. Jesus said in John 6:47. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. Do you believe that you are saved by grace and promised heaven because Jesus died for you? Yes_ No_.
How to respond to those people who are using this verse as a proof of lordship salvation? On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? ' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness'” (Matthew 7:21-23).
As you can see in the text those mean we’re telling God that they have done good WORKS in his name. They were trusting their works hence why The lord said he never knew them because they were never saved they were boasting in their works instead of trusting Christ alone. If they were once saved God would of said I once knew you but now I don’t but he said I never knew you which means he never knew them they were never saved because they trusted their works
Excellent sermon on a most important truth
This was such a blessing!!🙏🏼 As someone who has struggled with salvation, it was a wonderful testament to those who have doubts. Let us all remember to keep our eyes on our Savior!🙏🏼
It's learning by the word of God the depth and strength of our salvation by reading and study of His word . Study to show thyself approved, a workman not to be ashamed. Seek , pray for , wisdom , knowledge and understanding. Growing in the Spirit and drawing closer to God .
The IRS would love to take all my money and waste it . Our government is corrupt .
Thanks!
Very thankful for those who have the true gospel working so hard to share it with the kids who are so important. And Charlie you have been a true blessing to us out here where lordship works salvation reigns supreme.
Free grace has nothing to do with ones belief about eschatology. So why even touch on such?
It all ties together, part of eschatological studies are rewards; It is one motivation aspect to living a life by grace and growing as a disciple. That's one example, but can you point where eschatology was discussed in this podcast? I could then address the question specifically. Thanks.
@@GraceLifeMinistriesOrg so you live the Christian life for rewards?
@Jeff, as noted in my response above, rewards are "one" aspect to living the Christian life and they can certainly be used as motivation. Unfortunately, they're largely not taught despite them being scriptural. I would point you to another video dealing with the JSOC for further discussion th-cam.com/video/et5EJnyTr78/w-d-xo.html I would also point you to Gracenotes #9 "Why teach about rewards" www.gracelife.org/resources/gracenotes/?id=9&lang=eng
@@GraceLifeMinistriesOrg at 28:34 minutes in you talk about dispensations which brings in eschatology. I'm not saved by whatever view I hold about the above views. But simple belief/faith in Jesus. If you believe in a rebuilt temple where the Levitical priest hood will be set up again and sacrifices offered up again for sin then you are negating the finished work of Christ on the cross No more sacrifices for sin. Romans 6:10. Hebrews 7:27. 1st Peter 3:18. ISA 8:20.
This is another excellent teaching Dr. Bing!
Glad you enjoyed it
Is Lordship Salvation related to Pietism?
@Lester, actually it dates back further than 1788, Ribera and Bellarmine in the 16th century. Darby really popularized it and maybe more-so Scofield. But I've never thought of it as a myth so much as it helps the readers understand how God deals with mankind in different ways. It does acknowledge there is a distinction between the church and Israel, but that's not solely a dispensational belief. The myth is really supersessionism. Dispensationalism, at least many current adherents, don't claim to know who the anti-Christ is. So to say it takes the focus off of the Papacy is a bit of a stretch. Most who read the Bible from a literal, grammatical, historical perspective will almost always be free grace, 6 day literal creation, pre-trib rapture...and likely lean heavily dispensational as a result, not as a starting point. Incidentally it's the book of Revelation ...the single revelation of Jesus Christ given to John.
I believe your soteriology is correct. Unfortunately it seems most free grace folks believe in the Jesuit/Jewish myth of dispensationalism. Created by Jesuits in 1788 to take the reformers focus off the Papacy as the "antichrist " of Revelations. Says Christ's death was plan b.
Mr bing I don’t understand if a Christian is sanctified by love God and your neighbors as yourself how can that be possible?
Jeremy's story is inspiring and uplifting. As a fellow sinner who's struggling in much the same way as he has, it's comforting to know that there's still hope.
