Hello- I’m in desperate need of another like this guitar for a good reason! I was a singer for years, but I had to sell mine years ago because it was the only way to buy my daughter’s Christmas. I have been longing to make another of these lovely guitars “sing” again. The guitar looks original except for Tuners...the original ones were open, not enclosed. Looking closely you can see the holes at the back of headstock where originals were mounted. How do I know? I replaced mine with enclosed tuners too.

I have a 1954-1956 Framus 12 string (probably 1956, but it's not clear) . The headstock is the same as this, but the bridge is more conventional with pegs. It's a great guitar with a nice low action and an arched back. flamed maple on the back and sides. But I have no idea whether or not it's worth a ludicrous amount of money. If if is, that might get in the way of playing it.

I have one of these as well. Mine's a 1964 & was made to resemble the Gibson Hummingbird. Mine also has an adjustable bridge & individual saddle wedges that can shorten or lengthen each set of (2) strings. It is indeed a treasure & mines pretty rare apparently so will go to the Framus museum when I'm done with it. You can see it by searching my channel for 1964 Framus Falcon 12.
