Sadly only 3 pin switches from what I remember but I’ll go back and triple check. From what I remembered tho they were only 3 pin compatible.

After the 14.5 Sonoma update it seemed to be running much better, but honestly on 14.4.1 and under it was laggy and definitely sluggish. Thank you for watching

try to run post install patcher , i have the same problem but it was sorted by post install

I’ll go ahead and install it & try it out. I think the i3 2nd gen doesn’t have the instruction set to support Fortnite. I’m not sure if it’s due to the actual game needing it to run or if it’s due to anti cheat

Honestly I use them constantly as of right now to edit as my main headphones are connected to my other rig for gaming etc. until I need a new pair I’ll keep using these ones as I see no issues with them and they are pretty loud and are clear. For $11 they’ve definitely made their moneys worth. You could use them for gaming if the device supports Bluetooth.

It’s one of those things where you gotta hop on the deal as soon as you find it! I think I got this one from an older woman who was just trying to get rid of it because it was basically junk to her. The other one that I got for $40 that is 4th gen was because the kid couldn’t game on it and didn’t know he could pop a graphics card in it. So I was able to buy that one cheap.

I’m about to upgrade mine with an AMD Radeon R7 450 4gb. It’s nothing special and definitely nothing crazy but it would be a significant improvement over your 1GB r5240, considering it’s only about $35-40 on eBay too.

Yea it’s fun just to have to tinker with or maybe modify the case for fun like I do sometimes on older computers. As long as you enjoy what you’re doing that’s all that matters!

Unfortunately with newer titles, I find it that the instruction sets are no longer supported by the cpu. Like newer games require newer instruction sets that these older CPUs just don’t support. Not to say they are bad or anything there are still many uses and I think everyone should be doing more about our E-waste problem but big box stores always want new and improved. Good pick up

They are OK, I wouldn’t say they’re “tough” but they aren’t necessarily cheap or bad either. They definitely are made to decent quality & spec in my opinion. You can’t expect much for the price, you get what you pay for in this sense.

No I don’t. It’s hilarious to me how many people sit there and pick out wrong things and give misleading information. Thermal paste will spread when pressure is applied it’s common sense just like silicone when you’re working on a vehicle, do you make it look all beautiful? No. It doesn’t matter. It’s very sad to see someone sit here and down talk on another that’s just trying to give back. And let me tell you I’m not just some big box computer guy. I know much more than you think I do. Just because I don’t post everything I do and know doesn’t mean I don’t know it. Haters just giving me more motivation to post what I know and what I can do and prove people wrong. You’ll see. To anyone else I apologize and I’m honestly just trying to share my knowledge with the community, without hate.

I have upgraded one of my core 2 duos and it worked great. There's also a cheap way to overclock them. Search: electrical tape overclock

I have a couple graphics cards that were gonna try as well as some cpus to swap out as well :)

I'm an old tech enthusiast, and I have an Optiplex from WinXP with an Intel Celeron Core Duo and I'm playing with it adding a new HDD and repasted and using it as a lab computer. As well as an Optiplex 780 SFF that I'm thinking of upgrading the GPU from integrated to a GTX 1050ti.. I also have a handful of laptops I've bought from people and started fixing for various reasons. People just throw this stuff away and it has so much more life left in it!
