Wow this is extremely well done, thank you for doing this! Is it just me, or did that shiny purple make it look way more menacing? Same with the unpainted toe claws! For some reason that just had a natural look to it. Kind of bird- like. You should paint one up to deliberately look scarier.
Hmmm, a deliberately scary repaint might be a good Halloween idea....
@@Jurasshole a similar look to what you had there with just the purple eyes and those eagle like claws.

I had the same idea to paint Marcos doe model kit like the red rex. Idk if I’m still gonna paint it like the red rex when I get the kit or not now. I do have some other ideas though. it’s hard to compete with your level of skills in painting dinosaur models they always look amazing.
Go for it! I don't view it as a competition. I love seeing different artist using the same inspiration and coming up with their own interpretation of it!

How do you move the joints of articulated figures like this without the paint rubbing off?
@AtrociCollector The two main methods that I use are staining the joints with alcohol inks, or trying to plan out the repaint so that the joints use a similar color as the base plastic.
@@Jurassholethanks for replying! May I also ask what kind of brushes do u use? Since I find it extremely difficult to paint eyes on my figures.
@AtrociCollector For the eyes, I use toothpicks exclusively. Depending upon the size of the eyes, I might sharpen them with an exacto knife.

You do know that the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park are Deinonychus?
They mentioned it in Michael Cryton's Novel.
Yes, there's even JP1 concept art that labels them as Deinonychus!
@@Jurasshole The reason why Deinonychus has never ended up in Dominion is because they knew that the Velociraptors were already Deinonychus.
Now if they actually gave us Deinonychus in a JP film it would be funny if they were tiny like the real Velociraptors.
@theterribleclaw4285 unfortunately, I could totally see them doing that. They made the deinonychus smaller than Velociraptor in The Lost World ps1 game.

Man, you weren't kidding. Why'd Mattel make the HC Raptors dummy thicc?
They put a big joint in there to allow the figure to spread its legs out more. If they made the hips screen accurate, then they'd only be able to move forward and backward.

This is an interesting art exercise! Very nicely done! I know the BOTM figures can run a pretty penny, but I'd love to see your interpretation of the rest of the Atrociraptors in this style!

I think you forgot to add glamor shots at the end. you did so much work, you deserve to show off a bit. close up shots, spin 360º perhaps, slow zoom on the details. Overall glamor shots gotta be at least 45 seconds
