    In the blind spot and filtering at illegal speeds, filter speed limit is 15mph

    • @OfficialSmifi
      @OfficialSmifi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment. There is a 20:20 rule which states while traffic is moving at 20mph, a rider can filter at 20mph over that. So the maximum filtering speed limit is actually 40mph. I was travelling at about 30-35 mph when this guy pulled out without indicating to avoid crashing into the car infront while he was on his phone. But thanks for the input.

    • @everythinggaming7938
      @everythinggaming7938 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OfficialSmifi no worries, something to keep you safe if there is a big gap that the traffic can pull into always assume they will, take extra caution go slow and make your bike loud with some revs. It is even instinct as well I sometimes give them the time to pull into that gap. In your case as the traffic ahead came to a stand still I definitely would have waited and not filtered at speed because the chances of someone pulling into that lane in this circumstance is high and the traffic in your lane slowed down below 20mph they where basically at a stop so despite the guy ahead going a bit faster I would ignore his speed and focus on the lane speed so at this current point in time the 15mph rule kicks in not the 40mph

      @@everythinggaming7938I know your comment is a year old but you need to get 15mph out of your head. There is NO legal filter limit, it’s a grey area of the law without set boundaries.
