Why is Marco Island the Best Place to Live?
I end up chewing on it
Im a month in from having 22 teeth pulled. I have 6 anchors on top and 6 anchors on bottom. I had my temporary’s put in same day. Zircona teeth go in about 6 months or sooner. I have numbness still which I’m really not worried about yet. lol. My concern is that I have a bump on my lower jaw that’s near the implant. No pain. Feels like a loose tooth sensation, but it’s not loose. No discharge or different color. I talked with the tooth surgeon cause I was concerned. Went to see him and he said it’s still healing. I’m just freaked out cause in my head I feel like implant is failing. lol. Anyone know if this is normal? The rest of the mouth areas feel fine.
Mine has gotten so big under my tongue.that their almost meeting in the middle...im supposed to get it removed..
How long while it take for my face to reduce in swollen after bone grafting
It was two weeks for me.
@@catherinerose1607 Did you get the socket preservation bone graft directly after a tooth extraction or another dental bone graft procedure at a later date of the missing tooth?
@ My bone graft was directly after the extraction. This tooth had a brand new crown and then a root canal a month before and then it fractured. My extraction and bone graft were almost three weeks ago. It’s still sore off and on but the swelling has gone way down. Have you had yours yet?
@@catherinerose1607 No I haven't had an implant. I had a tooth extracted about a year ago without a bone graft then. Now I am considering getting an implant for a single missing tooth. I think very well may have to get a bone graft if I decide to get an implant and I have regretted not getting the bone graft during the same procedure as the tooth extraction. I have that regret daily. I am scheduled to see my dentist later this month to have a 3d scan xray to see what my bone density is in that area of the missing tooth. I have absolutely missed having a tooth there. After having a full set of my natural teeth for so long, it just doesn't feel right for me to not have a tooth there.
@@catherinerose1607 I don't know where my previous reply went. I haven't gotten an implant yet. I didn't get the bone graft right after extraction and have regretted not getting the bone graft then very much. I suspect I will have to get a bone graft if I choose to get an implant for the missing tooth. I would love to have a tooth there since I miss it so much.
I’m getting a 2nd molar extracted tomorrow and he wants to do a bone graft just in case I wanna get an implant. Is there any benefit to the bone graft if I DONT want an implant? I honestly think I can live without the tooth. Bone graft gonna cost about $300 because insurance doesn’t cover it. Is there a benefit for it anyways?? Prevent dry socket?? Just to add more bone mass??
Did you get the bone graft?
Only $300 that's a good deal.
I had an extra ton and bone graft procedure the other day. No pain whatsoever.
I'm in so much pain I regret ever even thinking about getting this done. Plus I look like the elephant man. Never again. Don't believe it.
I hope things have improved for you. How are you doing now?
I hope you are feeling better now
You mention sinus lift in relation to bone graft, what is that and is that risky?
I had 42 year old filling I was sick all year until I removed the whole tooth
My son had decay under his amalgam filling and had it replaced after just one year.
Where do you a donor bone?
I have some weird bumps in my jawline and jawline joints growing under tissue and gum they are getting larger may be cancerous who knows. This world is cruel
I’m getting my tooth pulled and will live with a gap between the upper rear teeth. I’ll put the $3k into a CD. I’m done putting money into my mouth. I’m 69 and don’t plan on living more that 10 years so I’ll enjoy the money. My buddy had an implant with bone graft and sinus lift and he told me Never Again!
I had mine 25 years ago due to a bad skateboarding accident. Long story short im in a ton of pain and the area where it was done is 100% infected and coming out of where the scar was.
Can a cadaver bone graph transfer MRNA (from a cadaver who was vaxxed) to the patient it is put in?
Bring back the narcotics . Oxy IR s OxyContin INSTANT RELEASE . No Tylenol or ibuprofen in it . I hate the way this ibuprofen gives me hart burn and the Tylenol is bad for the liver and I already got a bad liver . Dam Government making everything illeagal except the illegal aliens .
Can you do dexamethasone with the presence of infection, my surgeon said it will delay healing.
That's true
Exactly so will any aspirin and/or anti inflammatory

During a routine cleaning in November 2024. My dentist discovered that my tooth was at the beginning stages of dying from damage from my braces back in the 80's. Anyway, in January 2024, I got a bone graft and was told to wait for three to four months for the graft to heal. I returned today May 20th to learn that the graft wasn't strong enough to hold the implant post. So he re-grafted, added bone and I have to wait another three months and try again. Ugh
@lorenzocole8166 Did your dentist remove the old bone graft ? How is your gums healing underneath where the tooth was extracted ?
So where do they get the bone grafts from? I still don’t know…the banks trade it ok, but where does it come from? Dead bodies? Late term abortion stems? Cows?
Good question
I’m seven months post-op, after choosing to have all of my upper teeth removed. (They were damaged from years of acid reflux and tooth grinding.) Three of my posts are out, and the fourth one is getting close. I’m saying this because I want people who are curious about the procedure to have realistic expectations about healing time. I was told 3-6 months. Due to my high blood pressure, and general lack of being “the norm” when it comes to anything medical - I knew it’d be at least six months - probably more. I’m very close, and looking forward to the next step. I don’t regret the procedure at all. I just want to let others out there know that it’s definitely NOT an instant fix. 🙂
How can i check if its tmj ? I got mri scan and didn t show nothing. I got chronić headach its like presseure inside my head
Just means it’s muscular. Seek out a physical therapist
This technology did you used for exposure survey impact canine tooth #22 orthodontist thank You
I’m on day 11 and I’m still in pain. It is getting better but slowly.
Are u ok now? I am on the second day after surgary and still in pain.
@@Truska26 oh yea your going to be in pain for a while but it gets better trust and believe that. I get me final set in 2 weeks and it will be over.

Can a tooth bone graft cause nerve damage?
Never in a million years would I have thought eating before the dentist was the thing to do!
And the pain????
@@karate_girl_ibiza went away after a while.
Good and helpful, but I suggest you don't say you give a medication to augment pain. To augment something is to increase it.
Why would you say you augment the pain...you make no sense,
I just had this done 3 weeks ago and it still hurts . I can see the bone graph where the tooth was removed
How are you doing now?
What about numbness after implants are placed? My lip, chin and a few teeth on my lower right side are still numb one month after the impants were placed. The implants have felt fine. No pain. No infection. The dentist said the nerve gets pressured and there can be numbness for weeks, even months. It is not uncommon. What can be done to get the feeling back sooner? Massage not really working. Massage the nerve area or massage the numb area? B Vitamins were recomended to heal the nerve.
Oh how unpleasant. I had a rummy tuck two years ago and im numb in my lower tummy so i know how annoying it is. ❤ i hope you get feelings back soon..x
Finally an explanation
Hello Doctor, I had a block dental graft three months ago, and still have numbness around the bone graft area, lip, gum and near nose .is this normal? will I get the feeling back in those areas ..No pain though..Thank you! Will be seeing my dentist in a month, so I will keep mentioning this, although didn't seem too concerned ..
Never eat in dentist!
My Dr explained the stages of swelling would advance from day 1 to day 3. Then quickly be back close to normal within 4 days. She did no tell me that on the 3rd day, I would look like Martin Lawrence when he boxed the professional boxer!😂 I looked crazy. Black eye bruises and all
Lmao what ?! 😮 I’m on day one scared lol 😂
Let me know how your 3 days go. 🤭
I had my bone grafting yesterday....i look like a monster...but no pain...depressing in the mirror..Dr said 3 to 4 days it will subside......
@angelitahussein5045 For me the bone graft took about 9 weeks (on xray) to heal. I also took multivitamins during this whole implant process. And yes the swelling was so shocking.😂 good luck
@@so252Did the swelling and all soon go away and does it look normal now? Also, did you get the socket preservation bone graft directly after a tooth extraction or another dental bone graft procedure at a later date of the missing tooth?
Terrible extremely painful for 30 days.
bone graft is just cadaver bone ground up and put in the jaw bone socket for an implant after the tooth is removed , 3 months later they put the crown on . no pain no big deal only hurt is in the pocket book .
there is synthetic graph material that dentists can use, There is always a possibility of disease transfer if you use some other cadaver for bone donation
Gong in a week to have a failed root canal tooth extracted and a bone graft. I told the endodontist that some pain was still there 2 weeks later. They went ahead and capped it anyway. Been mild pain for 5 years. Now they say it's got to be yanked. They should have done it in the 1st place. By the time I'm done , I'll have a $7k dollar tooth.
It's about money. You shouldn't have had any pain after that.its not normal. They probably didn't fill the canals or the tooth had a crack in it from the crown .
How'd it go?
All of my root canals failed and turned into infections with having to have them pulled years later. Always had a little pain since procedure but they let it be. Huge scam. If I ever need one again, id tell them to yank and not look back.
Im on week 2 and still have a hole. No paint or swelling. Just very weird to have a howl there
Mercury amalgam is simply the best, I had mine done recently under my own full "paperwork"
are they still good now?
@@kenneththeg742 yes but when you put your health into consideration just go with ceramique if you can afford it otherwise composite it is.
No, they aren't . There is no adhesion between amalgam and tooth . They require more tooth removal. And they are poisonous .
@@July-A7 all valid points, however they do last longer, up to an entire lifetime if done properly.
@@lcfflc3887 Lifetime is a long time unless you want to die quickly. They last, true. Amalgam also can lead to cracks in the tooth. So overall, no surprise that they are phased out in the dentistry and many dental universities do not even teach them any longer .
Had mine removed on Tuesday
How was the recovery?
How was it ??
How long was your recovery? How many did you have removed?

Wow, thank you so much! I was not going to eat, but thank you Doctor!😊🦷
Maxilary tori is not normal. It is not. It's like saying bunions are nornal. They develop for a reason and their influence to the entire system are much greater than one can imagine.
So your office actually augments the pain?? Why would you want to do that??
I had a bone graft done the other day. I thought it was going to be so painful but it didn’t even hurt. Just felt sim mild pressure. I didn’t even have to take the ibuprofen they prescribed me. I’ve just taken the amoxicillin they’ve given me to prevent any infection. If you have a great dentist, it’ll be fine! It’s WAY better than a tooth extraction omg now THAT was painful for me.
Was it an upper tooth?
Girl I just left the dentist and omg they just extracted my back tooth and when I say it was a lot of pressure it made me so shaky and nervous 😢 I was crying and everything I begged them to let my husband come in the back w me. How long did it take u to heal up? I'm not hurting too much but it does kinda burn a bit but I got my 800 mg ibuprofen 😊 I'm so glad i got all of that out the way Jeezus Christttt that was not fun at all! Please people take care of ur teeth 😢
@@TiffyAlwaysBlissy yes girl, tooth #5.
@@gypsyy897 omg girl yes. When I got my extraction, I was crying in the chair!! The assistant let me hold her hand lol. It took about a month to heal up then dentist realized I needed a bone graft. ( a lot of pressure as well but not too bad because the nerve of the tooth is gone in the area.) he added the screw that day as well. (You’ll get numbed) that took a month to heal. I had my follow up last week! Got a mold taken for my crown now on august 3rd I go have the crown put on. Just make sure you keep your gums and the area of the missing tooth clean!!!!! You got this girl!!! I’ve always taken care of my teeth but I chipped a really old filling eating ice 😩
