U made me smile thank you
Well horse carried you before and after? 😊❤
... to him, the picture is perfect! 😊
Well, obviously, I did NOT go 2.6 miles in an hour on this trail. Must have been looking at my AllTrails app backwards. I'd have been lucky to have gone 1/4 mile.🫤
Closed means closed, mother!!
I was stupid to continue on this segment after seeing that first trail debris barrier. So grateful & many thanks to Trail Angel 😇 Sherene for bringing me home!
This trail was kinda horrible
Update on pancakes: they tasted icky.🙁 Took some on my last trail camping and had to choke down 3 of them. Should have tossed the rest to the wildlife. Lightened my pack weight.
Welcome back!
Red Riding Hood
That's a sub from my channel to yours
Bonjour, I enjoyed watching your Puy en Velay via Podiensis walk with your sister Renee. I’m planning to walk it this Autumn. Now I’m enjoying your Northern Ireland walk. Wondering, are you of Irish descent? Bonne journée!
@@suzannamlambert Only by marriage.🙂
Song.. "BUS STOP" The Hollies 1966 👍 Come to think of it, I whistled that tune on The Ireland Way walking over the hill out of Dungiven.🙂
Impressive. Hiking in the rain over boggy fields with rocks and ferns as high as your waist. That is a hard 22+ miles.
The crazy American hiker come to Ballinascreen once again. So sorry we missed you this time. A bout two years ago Maria found you on the mountain one Sunday morning in the middle of a thunder storm. I think you made a TH-cam video in our bathroom before heading off to Dungivin. Again sorry we missed you you were little 1 or 2 miles away from us
I was that close? I knew I was in the Sperrins when I met your family, just thought it was farther from where I was the last few days. Know that I often speak of your kindness to this very soggy hiker.😊
@@joycedunnrogers8248 we’re just happy if we can help and sorry we missed you. Safe travels
I thought Juie and I were supposed to take the rock up there when the time came?
@@saraberrier5994 Just one less thing to smuggle past TSA. 'Sides, there's still the ashes to toss off The Big Rock. I just wanted to put my rock there myself and see it.
Woohoo! I think Julie and I could have handled that.😂
Put your money where your mouth is. We can do it again next year.😉
I am on to you now Joyce ! Hearing that gravelly voice and not so many “ roses of the day “ Gave me great joy at 4 am this morning when I woke to utube Joyce St Patrick’s Way I need to google now and see exactly where you are in Ireland
There were days where roses weren't to be had. Or so ratty they weren't considered photo worthy. I have standards.😀
That Google map or whatever you used didn’t do you any favours after Taranto. You didn’t need to go on that busy road. Had you carried on up that hill and round the road, not only would you have enjoyed the most scenic walk you would also have enjoyed walking the canal path to Scarva where you ended up by walking that busy road. You were a bit unlucky with the weather. It’s normally better this time of year. It’s a lovely area to walk all year round.
@@hetty43 I only used the posted signs..or lack of. No Google trails app.
@@joycedunnrogers8248 I know the area very well and I have barely noticed these signs. There are many short walks but this St Patrick’s Trail is not walked by many that I have seen. Yes you will get lots of walkers everywhere plus the canal path with bikes. The main thing is you kept going. Good luck.
Did I see store bought walking sticks? REALLY!
Yeah. Tent is a trekking pole tent.
Assuming your pack arrived safely.
Nevermind, got my answer. 🤣
Have you tried oder eater insoles?
I have not. Did you use them in your Altras & like them?
@@joycedunnrogers8248 LOL
You are going to ruin a good butter knife.
Yay!! Finally, on the road!!😊
Clean the windshield!
Not my job. 🙂 It's Rusty's restore project.
Heck of a trip you two!... CDG... gotta be Charles DeGaulle. 😊
Yep
Same hotel I stayed in coming from Spain.
Rene'says "hi" to you.
You 2 have a safe
Trip home!
Tell me you don't have those funky poles in that box!
Yep! Them's my sticks.😀
No sitting on the veranda = WTF!? Why would you guys not be accommodated?
They said it was because of needing to do a thorough dorm cleaning. Guess that included the veranda.
I texted your phone early this morning. I better head to Facebook. 😱
🙂I've got a French sim card in my phone right now
Congratulations. Well done.
Congrats to you and Rene!

Thanks for your videos! Really love how you stop and smell the roses!
I didn't see a shell on your packs. Pilgrams don't attach them on LePuy?
I have mine on and lots of others do, too. Rene' just opted to not have one.
the weather improves from Wednesday, no rain for 1 week, courage à vous deux
Can't believe you let your sticks go shoeless!
Gasp!...I know. But I don't have any replacements the right size. They're both barefoot now.
Such a great adventure.
Coffee not McD......
Yeah, I know. I saw a Burger King sign before choosing McDonald's and it stuck in my head.
Bonjour, if you start seeing & hearing a lot of fighter jets it’s because the French are in process of training Ukrainian pilots at an air base in Southwest France. 💙🇺🇦🇫🇷
Yes! We did see two military jets race overhead and wondered about it. Thanks for letting us know. 👍
VE (Victory over Europe) day May 8th, 1945. 😊
I’m enjoying your day by day videos of your walk. I’m planning on walking Via Podiensis Le Puy this fall 2024. These videos are informative and wonderful. Thank you!
On Wise Pilgram, it shows a ton of Giets, but when you open the app for that Giet, it says it is not open. May 1st is May Day or International Workers Day.
Yeah, it says it in my Wise Pilgrim app, too. But they are open. Rene's Rob's Guide sometimes had more Gites listed.
MiamMiamDoDo is popular guide book here and has probably more Gites listed, too. It's a thinner book than the one I have.
Hello Joyce, Hello Renee, welcome in Gascony
Hello Joyce Hello Renee, the crop at 4.00 is vicia faba, feve in french, broad bean i think in english spoken country
How many Pilgrams do you see a day?
Mmm...there's quite a lot, actually. But we're generally spread out so the route doesn't feel crowded. Groups of one, two or three. Lots of time Rene' & I feel like we're walking alone. At the Gites, there's between 15-20 people... and that's just the one we're at. Naturally, mostly French but there's Canada, Poland, New Zealand, Switzerland..to name a few.
I think the flower was a Columbine. It looks like you and Rene are going to have rain all next week!
Where was this place? I’m booking now for July and want really friendly places. Love your videos!
I have preface my statement by saying, in the summer it wouldn't be so chilly (34°F in the morning) and if you opted for DP you wouldn't feel banished. Gite Le Relains des Jacobins. The operator was very helpful in getting us directions to our next Gite, though.
