    question does this setup allow you to do the same run and micro manage stuff to optimize it mid run? For example if you say take 10 iron, but theres only 5 does it wait untill theres atleast 10 meaning you could change other actions before it to make it so the furnace has smelted the extra? If so it def seems like an interesting way to play factorio.

    1:22:52, 1->2 vs 9->3, "we need to slightly more then double". If by slightly more then double you mean 7x your output, sure :D At least that build imports everything it needs, so you should be good by simply pasting down 6 more of them at least! Sadly this seems to be the last episode of this series? It's been really fun to watch so far! Are you planning on completing it, or is it ended here? Either way, thank you for sharing!

    This is good one, but please FINISH AT LEAST ONE TAS and I don't care which one exactly. Zaspar starting any% tas and it's so banger with techs used on that but it's stopped on some after blue science and bro just started do speedruns and default settings tas. Idk why he just dropped any% at mid point, but now I just want to see at least something finished and it will be sooo banger I swear

      DS TAS is someone else's project, just using Zaspar's channel for upload. I don't know if/when the any% TAS is continuing, it was great stuff.

    At 25:20 approximately you talk about using undergrounds for higher density mining. You could also simply have two lines of power poles on the lines where you have power poles, so that not every belt of output actually needs miners with gaps, as they would be covered from the ones next to them. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this clearly... . is single power pole, : represents two power poles placed approximately like that.       I have a lot of TAS-only strats and plans, but it won't be anywhere near as tight as the any% TAS, there's just too many other things to worry about.

    This is brilliant. So I had thoughts about this segment of the run. Firstly, because of the slow miners, you are iron-starved at the beginning. Some of the wreck parts drop iron, so they may well be worth the time to grab right away just to get the first few burner miners up faster. More path, much earlier - you have the stone for it. Less wood early - you basically only need it for basic science packs and a handful of wood power polls. I don't think you need to harvest the fish at all. Your shelter produces a little bit of power, which would let you use more of the trash assemblers earlier, and it also has some slots which make it quite good as a sushi assembler box, for example, to handle some of those horrible early game intermediates chains. In a TAS run, you can probably control the sushibox assemblers by hand-feeding critical materials into assemblers. There is a coal rock above the semi-automated labs. You get that really super late. Your bank of 6 coal miners appear to be jammed most of the time. Do you genuinely need 6? Alternatively, harvest and stash the excess to not loose the production, and use it to bootstrap the boiler power plant?

      Thank you, yes, I meant to invite comments on people's favourite suboptimality, but forgot. I'd have gone harder on brick paths and wreck parts if I'd realised their impact earlier. Not going back to change that now. I'm not seeing power from the shelter - maybe that's an SE thing? But I have a plan for later, yes. Lots of wood early since I'm anticipating less free time once the bugs pick up. I don't think coal is ever jammed - K2 stacks to 200 - I think we're slightly coal negative over a stockpile so large the last few rocks don't matter, we'll get them eventually. Hopefully the fish won't matter, but I won't have time to get them if they do.

    I’ve watched close to 476 videos and I’ve seen 719 different ways to start. I did pick up some ideas with grenades that can apply to a number of things in early game. Good stuff. I laughed at “ brain already not working”. I usually start that way. It seems my brain lives spaghetti so it can figure sh*t out in tight spots

      tbh there's no real break till RCUs are running, basically the whole base. It's all a multitasking mess of keeping bots busy, racing belt delay, tracking handcrafting. You don't have to be constantly trading downtime for complexity, but that's one way WRs can happen.

    Well done! I wonder if there's some strat where you cut copper entirely to LDS once it has been fed enough? I'm trying to think of a solution that didn't involve a circuit.

      It's tricky, LDS is already the lowest splitter priority. And it's also really tricky to judge with assembler internal buffers etc. Maybe it's just - roll maps with more copper & get up to a full lane asap after respawn.
