Toxic City was the result for Marvel Superhero Island with no Marvel themes because the previous year featured Island Under Siege and Marvel was mad at Universal for having the villains kill the heroes. The only Marvel reference for this scare zone was the toxic waste comes from Oscorp Industries from Spider-Man.

The Boo-Ville area in Seuss Landing was the most tame and least scary because Dr. Seuss’s widowed wife told Universal not to incorporate anything scary in Seuss Landing. There’s just fog and weird music along with The Grinch walking around. The story behind it is the Who’s have locked themselves indoors hiding from The Grinch.

man the early 2000s were wild when it came to HHN, we got alien demon monsters with wires and junk embedded in their heads, electrical sci-fi hospital equipment lying around, shipping containers for a rail yard run by gang members, a crazy carnival, techno music, stiltwalkers. that all looked amazing for that year
