Art classes in general are critically important in teaching confidence, creative thinking, and problem solving. Students find this kind of learning environment to be both relaxing & safe, and challenging & inspring. This video is a testimonial to the feelings people get from the ART experience. #madeatsandburg #ceramicsclass #highschoolart

People go to soooooo much work reclaiming clay. I've never used a hammer. Throw a bone dry pot in a slop bucket and in a couple of days its become slop. Mix slop well and let dry as desired; wedge and throw. :-)

you should be able to say, the pug mill will take 100# dry weight of clay plus 5g of water or whatever, and then just soak it and run it. what are you gaining by adding too much water to begin with? i have been processing native clay in a cement mixer. i need it fluid to sieve it and get the rocks out. but if you keep your junk clay clean, you should be able to go right to the proper water content for the mill. if too dry you should be able to pour in water, too wet, leave the mill open and run it a little each day to keep it uniform until it is stiff enough.
Hi Daniel greeting from Ireland. What type of clay did you use please.
Wait, but you glaze the bottom as well? Do you put them on stilts to prevent bonding to the kiln shelves?
good job
Great teaching Great tip making sure not to stick the tape to the pipe. It's these type of things that really help.
Totally awesome demo. I have learnt so much from watching this. I wish i had a teacher as good as this. I have had to learn from TH-cam because my teacher did not even tell me to put plastic on my mold so my pot pieces got stuck in the mold. I love how he makes it look so easy...great teacher. Thanks again
