Hi. You seem to have taken quite an interest in my video with 2 negative comments 2 days apart. Usually I can't be bothered to respond to someone criticizing a free video that they are under no obligation to watch, but as you seem quite persistent I'll help you out. Firstly this video is looking at the first solo Joe plays, not the second. The first solo does not go to the 17th and 20th frets. Indeed the video you tried to recommend my viewers go to by a different tutor in your previously, now disappeared comment, also does not go to the 17th and 20th frets. Like me that teacher has done a video on both the 1st and 2nd solo and you seem to be getting confused as to which is which. Go back and check your preferred tutor and you'll see he made 2 videos titled almost exactly the same, one 8 months ago for the first solo and one 2 months ago for the 2nd solo. His earlier video, like this video you are commenting on, also doesn't go to frets 17 and 20 because it is for the first solo not the second solo. His second video, for the second solo, does go to those frets, as does my second video for the second solo because the second solo does indeed go to those frets. Secondly if you prefer his version that is fair enough. But we are playing exactly the same notes, the difference is he is playing along to the record whereas I am playing along to a crap backing track. When you hear his version you are also hearing Joe's solo so obviously it will sound to your ear identical. But I can assure you we are playing the same thing. If you feel his technique and guitar playing ability is better than mine then you are absolutely entitled to that opinion. But I am not teaching the wrong notes. Anyway, thanks for watching. I'd suggest listening the actual song a few times so you can identify the different solos and have a better idea of what you are trying to learn. I also have a video for the Kirk Fletcher solo which I'm sure you'll love x

It isn't YY_Guitars version though, it is Joe Bonamassa'. He is playing along to it. What you are listening to is his guitar double tracking Joe's guitar. He does it well but in terms of vs obviously the person who came up with the solo and also happens to be one of the best guitarists around is going to come out on top. By the way it seems his video from 2 months ago is actually the first solo and the one form 8 months ago is the 2nd.

@@myguitardiaries Thanks for the info. I didn't perceive the double tracking. But whether I slow the clip down or use the tabs, (so many notes to memorize) it's not easy to duplicate Joe. In the band I play in, our audience is 65+ year-olds, so exactness is not necessary, but as guitarists we do want to be our best, at least in our own heads. If that's a Jazzmaster you play, that's a rare guitar to see. I only see them hanging on the wall at Guitar Centers.

@@azmike3572 No problem. Joe is one of the best so not easy to imitate at all. For the first solo you can just improvise with Gm pentatonic, the 2nd solo uses a few notes from G natural minor scale. Yes it's a jazzmaster. Had a lot of issues with electrical buzzing but got lots of work done on it to fix it. Great guitar, very versatile. It's in desperate need of a set up now though!
