Shane Taylor | Fine Airs and Fine Graces | Photo Book Walkthrough
My dream list: 1. weather-sealed (if possible) 2. better AF 3. change the rocker for a dial (if that's even possible with the internals). Or maybe a joysick. 4. upgraded video (i.e. 4k30) for simple clips. nothing crazy. just enough to replace the phone but not for content creation aside from a little b-roll clips. 5. upgraded sensor (not necessarily megapixels although 26 megapixels could be nice, but better dynamic range) I really want to buy the GRiii but I can't justify the price for a 5-year-old limited camera, but with the things above...that'd be sick!
Nice one mate! Just got myself a Pentax 645 last week and have been waiting for an opportunity to go out and shoot with it. Seeing your "photo stay" video shot in your own home was really inspiring though, so now I'm thinking I'll just stop waiting around for decent conditions and do the same instead. Cheers from Sweden!
The every-day person's Widelux. It's nothing like an XPAN, other than the negative size. F 16 is the MINIMUM aperture. Maximum aperture is when the aperture is fully open. The shutter button is in the correct place when you pay attention to how the camera is supposed to be held in order to keep your fingers out of the frame when not using the handle.
Tell the truth about that Peak Design I bought My GRIII Friday when my local shop had all the reps there. I bought the peak design cuff for it the anchors are tight and hard to get in. I had to go back and talk to the peak design guy and he gave me a older anchor with thinner rope
Show the buuuulb! :)
Thanks for the great review and samples!
Thank you bro nice bro
Please inform us about the serial number range of which you have to take care of. Thanks.
It took way to long to find a trustworthy review so this video was awesome!
Heards up . Its 30 on best buy atm
I appreciate the heads-up. Just placed my order. 👍
I just picked this up at a thrift store. Beautiful book! Thank you for eloquent thoughts on it.
This is actually a really cool setup for the price.
What model kamp- rite tent cot is it that fits the bed of the maverick?
@@javieraranda5503 hey there. Thanks for watching my channel. It’s the Double Tent Cot that I am using.
Not many people talk about film stimulation, although it's important to me too. I shoot almost everything on negative film, it is the most successful in terms of skintone. But to me it lacks grain. Why this feature is in black and white profiles, but in color profiles it is not, it's strange. I know I can shoot simply at high iso, but then I lose detail and it's aggressive noise not grain. I wish they would add that to the color profile. When you shoot people close it is necessary for analog picture and faces turn out more pleasant and calm without digital crazy sharpness.
Its on sale $40 at bestbuy
I found one of these at a thrift store back in 2011 for $5. Crazy to see how much these have gone in price and demand!
Just a small error: it's not called rolleicord V, it means 5 in roman numbers. Ciao from Italy!❤
What size did you cut your 2x4’s for the base in the bed?
Would this bag fit a fujifilm xt3 with sigma 18-50mm lens ?
@@felicityly7401 I have the X-H1 with that exact lens and it just fits. The XT3 is smaller so I can’t see any problems.
Which chdk version you installed 100b or 100c and tell what are new specification you got after that.
You need a paper scoring board, that will speed up your folds significantly.
The Minolta X-700 is an all-time favorite of mine. I use mine often, and your video really captures its essence. Keep up the great work!
I think the weather seal is probably the most requested upgrade. That + improved sensor and it's all I need. EVF would be great addition too but I want Ricoh to keep its compact size.
D'you work with a light meter ? Show us also the unloading, please!
Long Live Books
What a great video! I always enjoy The art of photography's channel when he talks about zines and have really wanted to try to make one of my own. Your way is a fun, attainable way to start out making your own. I'm definitely going to give it a try in the near future! Thanks again for sharing your process with us and for the template as well!

You cannot see light meter ,it's faint, sometimes
This review is so helpful for anyone wondering what you are going to really get for video recording out of these glasses. There are applications I can think of that this is more than suitable for and so convenient. Your examples show something else I wondered about, which is if our heads wouldn’t work something like camera/sensor stabilization while recording with the Meta glasses, and they totally do! 😂 Not as good as a chicken head but not to shabby either!
I bought an x100t in 2014 for $1600aud and applying inflation using the reserve bank calculator it equates to a little over $2000aud. That puts it in the ballpark of the retail price for an x100v. The x100vi is $700aud more than that price. It was a massive price increase. And to think they’re now manufacturing in China it really doesn’t add up. I had been looking to upgrade from x100t to x100v when the market went crazy and couldn’t purchase anywhere. When x100vi announced I thought this may work but the price increase just doesn’t make sense - plus I don’t need 40mp. Wish they still produced the x100v in parallel as an alternative.
Getting this used for 50 usd used. Is that a good bargain?
I would say that's pretty great.
Weather sealed and an f2 lens
عمل رائع ياصاح
Thanks so much....😀
Thank you so much for providing the template! Looking forward to designing my first zine!
What are the other two torque settings other than 4Nm? Thank you.
Many elements of this process would benefit from the insights of a bookmaker from binding to edge trimming. You're so close to such an amazing end product!

Hi greay video!! Wondering if the charging module is waterproof.
No it is not
nice video...I own a roller 35s gold...never used...but I like to start to use it now....where can I get that black thing with the big R TO BE USED ON THE SHUTTER ?????....I live in Italy.....
please make a video tutorial on how to install CHDK so you can use RAW
AliExpress has the most impressive options. I was able to get basically the same thing as that for 3.29. It was one of those generic oreo themed ones, but it has the exact same insides. edit: it also had free shipping.
Hello! When using this paper do you have any issues printing on both sides? Designing my zine right now. Thank you for the video
@@Redefining_average hey there thanks for watching. What I did was let each side dry for probably about a minute and then I printed on the other side that helped me avoid smudging.
@@islandbyfilm Awesome! This is the only video I could find with this much information. Great content, can’t wait to see more from you. Thank you
What does this do? I'm confused between this and the Model P.
So my husband wants to swap my hybrid minivan for a Ford Maverick. We have a lot of reasons but basically what I need to know..... Can you leave the truck "on" with air conditioning and it will cycle on and off all night like my van? I love camping in the van for the ac and will not compromise on this. Thanks!
@@ashleighyoung1295 yes you can leave it on all night. The engine will start periodically just to charge the battery.
I know you mentioned putting your orthotics in your shoe and them fitting in there. Did you need to size up your Vessi shoes in order to do that comfortably or is that with your regular size? Thanks so much!
I did not have to size up at all. Once I took out the Vessi insoles I just replaced them with my orthotics with no issues at all.
@@islandbyfilm Great! Thanks so much! I just bought a pair for the Labor Day sale online, so that's really good news! :)
When you make your list of pros and cons of switching from x100v to x100vi, you will include "Made in Japan" as a plus for the v and "Made in China" as a negative for the vi. Ask folks who collect watches whether Seikos made in Japan are worth more than Seikos made elsewhere. There are plenty of other reasons not to buy the vi: the 10 percent weight penalty; the unnecessary IBIS unless you are a moviemaker; the offset tripod mount; the fact many of your v accessories won't fit the fatter (6 percent thicker) vi including $160 camera cases like the beautiful Kaza; the $1,000 or so cost difference remembering eBay will take 13 percent of the sale price of the sale of your v and you always have the chance of getting scammed. The new camera is larger, heavier, way more complicated (unnecessarily so if you don't shoot video), and doesn't fit many of the accessories of the x100v. I've been a photographer a long time, and I still have two of my gorgeous, perfectly operating 60 years later, Nikon F cameras everyone said had to be "upgraded" to the F2. Don't get me started on human rights abuses in China; I don't want a camera made by a 10-year-old slave.
@@henrybrooksadams1626 so well said. Thanks for watching my video and checking out my channel.
how do I print this? does that require any special steps?
