Suellio Brendo plays Liszt - Vallée d'Obermann
One of my favorite interpretations, bravo

BRAVO BRAVO ! 🌷🌷🌷 (HOLLAND- august 2024 )
It’s incredible how he plays with so much vigor.
Delphine
I think this is the best recording of Brendel Beethovens 4th. Stupendous! The cadenza is uniquely his, that he plays always, but tonally different every time. He is relishing the second movement, his trills are clear and sensual. Two masters created one of the best renditions of this concerto. Bravi! And thank you Volodja, for giving us a chance to listen to this treasure!

No one plays them better!
Himmlisch
No one plays it with the pathos of this man... he builds such moments within it. When I learned it, I follwed my own heart but also took Rubinstein along by my side, and Chopin. I talk of the first Etude, which is beautifully held together in a sweeping phrase of gentle rocking melody. It is lovely tom play. 2nd Etude and 3rd Etudes..- Well, they are not a favourite or that memorable to me. But R has command of them of course. I tend to love sad,and emotional, keys complex melodies though there are exceptions now and again . They are little sweet showy off pieces,No0 12 /3, good for sight reading or playing to.people. ❤😂 because they love Happy Chopin 😅😅 No1 is significantly more beautiful with a chromastic melody adcending and decending with ascending and reaching points of ecstatic heights.
I am learning etude 1 right now - alongside etude 25/2 - and I find it more difficult than 25/2 - not the polyrhythmic part but the memorizing 🙈 absolutely annoying me.....
That's refreshing, the cadenca gave me chills.

forse Chopin avrebbe preferito nell'esecuzione Rubinsteiin rispetto ad ABM più cuore meno meccanicismo
Beautiful rendition ( pianist and orchestra) of this who came to be always my favourite piano concert amongst all, not only in Beethoven ‘s creations. I always have been a Brendel’s admirer. He will be living forever with those who praise his artistry.
The dreamiest music this side of the celestial sphere. Ole Chopin possessed such profound golden veins of pure essence and nostalgic embers. Love the middle etude the best for misty eyed pondering wandering. PWG
absolutely beautiful. no words.
How about perfect neuromuscular and motor skill memory coupled with sequential and perfect pitch recall, and incidentally photographic memory, throw in a little creative musical skill and spontaneity! Convinced that musicians are the top echelon of human endeavors with unmeasurable intelligence quotients 🤪
In other words: overwhelming.
The artist of this recording and that of th-cam.com/video/H7aX-yDUgP8/w-d-xo.html are definitely distinct.
This is lovely. Thank you so much for posting.
That 2nd etude...❤❤❤❤❤

Oh, this is so beautifully played! Thanks for uploading!
Can’t stop listening! Unforgettable pianist especially on this 1st Rachmaninoff Sonata.
His wonderful performance Ìs my splendid tranqulizer
What a versatile and unconventional performance he plays❗

Grande pianista e claro as suas frases!!!
Elisey does it better
...wow, just wow! ..heard this recording so many times..
WUNDERBAR!
This dates from June 1983, apparently during a heat wave in Chicago, with these performances recorded live outdoors at the Ravinia Festival. Brendel thought this cycle a highpoint of his career, which has always raised an obvious question for me. Why did he never record a Mozart concerto cycle with such an eminent Mozartean as James Levine? I feel as though Levine was intimidated to record those works? I would like an explanation for this, given his fine recordings of the Mozart symphonies, violin concerti, and obviously operas, going back to Idomeneo. Was his artistic relationship with Brendel not reciprocated? If so, it was all the more sincere of Brendel.
Adagio un poco mosso
Strange how some of the greatest pianists in the world fall short on Beethoven's Fourth. Brendel has the vitality and the mastery. He does this uncompromising work full justice. Magnificent!
Beethoven himself soloed the public premiere as he could not find another local pianist willing to tackle it. Mediocre as I am, I can play the sublime opening, but not much else.
Magnifica esecuzione!
WUNDERBAR!
Il migliore!
Too carefully played, but he works well with the metronome
