  • @mrdavester
    @mrdavester 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You ran a sub 20 5k only training for 15 kms per week.. over two runs? That's unreal .. usually 40 or 50kms per week plus interval training.

    I just started running for the first time in over 10 years. I ran a 24:27 time trial. Goal is to get a sub 20 in 2 months for a 5k race. I think I can get it but I'm 38 years old.

  • @pf4186
    @pf4186 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Last June I was currently at 22 minutes and set myself a 6 month goal of a sub 20. Got it in August but ended up injured chasing it. 5 months it has taken me to recover. It was absolutely worth it though. Sub 20 is a good time regardless of how many people can run quicker.

  • @chyreneharms4966

    Oh. So if I will buy now the whoop 4.0 and once the 5.0 release it will automatic I will get the new version without extra charge. Can you please clear about it. Because I’m waiting to release the latest one and I’m not sure when it will publish it. I really wanted to have whoop now

    • @NickCrease
      @NickCrease ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah so because it's a subscription, you don't pay for the hardware up front. People who had the 3.0, were sent the 4.0 when it came out. So if they stick to the same method next time and you're signed up, they'll send out the 5.0 when it's available for free.

    Didn’t they recently lowered the price of the 4.0? Seems unlikely they would do that with a 5.0 around the corner and double up their processing costs

    • @NickCrease
      @NickCrease ปีที่แล้ว

      They introduced a new 24 month tier, which is paid upfront but works out cheaper overall. The original prices are still the same I believe.

    Rarely seen people using cuffs like this, its a great idea! you get more leverage in the target muscle by shortening the distance involved.

    I just can’t seem to do “long easy runs”. I knocked off so much time pushing myself hard… but when I try longer slower distances I keep getting slower. I can no longer run the fast distances as fast as I could… and my long slow runs get harder and slower each time. Extremely frustrating.

    • @NickCrease
      @NickCrease ปีที่แล้ว

      That's interesting. It can be quite individualised, different people will be suited to different styles. I'd say as long as you're getting adequate recovery, keep pushing yourself hard.

    Nice video. Still dreaming of a sub 20 but recently broke 22 minutes for the first time in my modern era of running (had to give up for two decades due to illness). Now in my 60s with MS and an artificial hip, so the sub 20 is going to be difficult but, I hope, not impossible.

      Can be tricky fitting it all in. Definitely possible though. If pushed for time I would probably look at doing some full body sessions with a few supersets.
