+David A Morse Its like asking a str8 young person how he/she likes the opposite sex! Its kind of understood. Braedens Dad will not quite understand how his son feels deep inside. Sex-ed teaches what? How the male and female reproduction systems works and explains what the sexual organs do as a part of procreation! if the Sex-ed class goes so far as to explain relationships that will be as much help to the none str8 child as it would the str8 child! Add to that the concept of protection and sexually transmitted disease. What is missing in all to much of these discussions is why people will feel he/she can not know what their sexuality is before they reached puberty! If that was a fact why have Sex-ed at a grade well before puberty? I am aware of children stating they know there attractions and sexuality at as early an age of 8-9 years of age. We should teach sexual diversity. We need be supportive of this and help the child remove the guilt that society puts on all to be "normal"!

+David A Morse I agree....What appears to get in the way is the disdain and hate taught at to many Sunday Sermons! How can a beautiful child who is a good, doing it right child otherwise be thrown out of a loving house when the child is found out to be LGBTQQ. Religion is so backwards and hand picks the Sins to act on and some to ignore! Virtually all main religions have a law something close to love thy neighbor like thy self never ever did I read of a clause stating unless they are gay. Can you say double standard? Here is perfect example here a sports network speaking of the diversity among athletes (makes it sports related) and certain individuals, they can not see why its on ESPN. Its okay to speak of Dr. Goldstein and Braeden as Lacrosse playing athletes but nothing about their lives are allowed? If either were bit by a dog hit by a car dating or married this gal. that would all make news but the earth is at its end because its reported what they may do behind closed doors in a private moment with some one they love? This was a very warm story of a athletic child who was depressed and a loving family seeing this tried to remedy this. Its a warm & caring story of some one as an underdog being swept up and helped!

+David A Morse What has changed something most important! Braeden got a self esteem that is not down in the dumps and that's worth it all! Loving parents that except him for him!
