Don't Praise The Machine is going into sleep mode
In 2023, DPTM only played 3 shows throughout the whole year.
In 2024, we played 1...
Unfortunate as it may be, there is only so many minutes in the day. And both Tyler and Myself are often tied up in multiple bands, projects and musical pursuits all at the same time.
While it's easy to wave it off and dream you'll be able to find time for everything, the reality sets in that when you divide your time, efforts, funds and ideas between too many outlets, none really recieve the proper attention they deserve and all suffer.
To that end we have decided that Don't Praise The Machine should go on Hiatus. Rather than allow the project to exist in a forgotten state of limbo, we'd rather make the call and concisely power down for the time being.
No shows.
No rehersals.
No recordings.
No socials.
This will allow us the mental space to both focus properly on other musical projects. And when the time is right, we hope to reboot at full power and pick up where we left off.
We extend a massive thank you to everyone who's shared Don't Praise The machine with us over the years and we'll see you all on the other side!
