Have to remember this other bad take Josh has, saying that games, like Magic, that have a ressource to play cards are easier and take you by the hand is stupid. Its ressource management and also keeping in kind what your opponent has available for the mana on board. Also, it helps a lot on balancing the game, Yugioh is the one game that feels so misserable to lose just because you went second and lost the hand trap mini game. It would cost zerp effort for any of this games to stop using ressources to play cards and be the same as Yugioh, Yugioh is not better for being more complex, its gotten complex for the sake of being complex.

dont know why tcg made it like this but dark magician was better in the anime (season0) and manga cause in the manga, summoned skull was a level 7 monster. Now it is also lvl 7 in rush duels. Also they made it lvl 6 cause in duelist kingdom, levels were indirectly indicating what monster is stronger than another. But they let it like this in battle city, but got replaced a bit with an effect fiend like gilfer that was helping yugi making opponent's monsters weaker, rather than waiting for another tribute

lol a divine beast link 1 that, searches any card mentioning a divine beast on summon and can use one one of your opponents as monsters for a tribute of a divine beast. It would be removal while also adhering to the original soul crossing restriction and saving you a card effect. Alternatively could just grab a starter or soul crossing itself.

36:22 the head of the TCG judge program said TCG is not implementing the OCG ruling update re: Triple Tactics Talent vs. I:P summoning a link with a summon effect. The old ruling (the player who summoned the link monster gets to activate the effect, even if the monster is stolen before it can activate) was the old ruling and is still in effect in TCG. Only OCG has changed it to now the controller of the monster gets to activate the effect. Master Duel follows the new OCG ruling and even made an announcement when the game was updated to implement it.

35:00 the ip talents take ruling is ruled in the tcg that the player who summoned s:p gets to use the effect. this is only a head judge specific ruling but I asked them since YCS Bologna and they all said the player who summoned it gets to use the effect. in the ocg, the player who took the s:p can activate the effect, there is an faq but tcg judges have to ignore ocg rulings.
