Hello everyone,
Today, our flight takes us from London city airport to Dublin. This is my first time flying out of London city airport so I’m hoping to do more trips in the future.

The a320 neo doesn't have that sound for some reason, even when it was slow enough.
This sound always came when i was tryna sleep, it sounded like a falling meteor

I know it’s an A320
Planespotting fact: the tv show The Outlaws has this noise in most of the scenes. This is because it was shot in Bristol, a hub for easyJet, who's fleet is exclusively made up of the A320 fam. Makes for a good drinking game during a viewing party 🥴
Does anyone here know about that same sound from the non-Q Dash 8?

If you went from Runway 2/7 then you would of flown by my house. 😂😂 I did hear the first departure at 06:49 this morning and that you were on.
Nah we departed yesterday. It was just that the winds weren’t in my favour 😕

I Went to study away from my home-city, within India. My hostel was 3-4 miles away from an airport in that city. The only models which land on that airport were Atr-72 and Airbus a320 family. Lately at the age of 16, these aircraft spark the curiosities inside me and made me a crazy aviation geek. I left that city now and came back for other part of studies, I'm now a mad av-geek and i will never forget those a320 whining at 3k feet just above me lining to land. I have so much nostalgia and teenage memories attached to the CFM 56 engines.

Oh god I know that sound!
Glasgow airport in this shot. They also make a strange noise on take off, quite loud inside the cabin which i think is unique to Airbus.
Is it the sort of laser based sound. That’s how I would describe it.

What about those planes that make a very fast tone pitch, usually from low to high in about 3 or so seconds? I can only aliken it to when a fighter jet flies over, but it's a commercial plane. It's usually quite loud, a bit like wooooyuuueeeii 😂 does this make any sense? I think it's becoming more and more rare though, but it still happens sometimes.

@@AIRPLANEK Man oh man. Now I need to record it somehow, or find it online. I can't remember the last time I heard it, the algorithm showed me your video even though I know nothing about planes and it was still really interesting to know, and it reminded me I always wanted to know what this other noise was that I sometimes hear. It happens while they're several thousand feet flying overhead mid-flight, not ready to land. I don't know if it's some kind of turbulence thing or the pilots do something to the wings. On the ground it's usually very noticeable, bit like the whistling sound, but goes largely ignored.
@@AIRPLANEK Actually, I think I found it. An article described it like a whale sound, and it's common for Airbus A220 among others. Something to do with the combustion chamber resonating at certain frequencies. I live nowhere near an airport but I've still heard them making this noise high in the air for some reason despite some articles saying it happens during landing or taxiing.
It has such a peaceful tone to it...
Especially in the mornings.
