“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”

Unique Foods at Donchon Market, Seoul
We have eaten here many times unfortunately they closed. Hopefully chef will open another fantastic culinary experience
How does this place compare to Heritage BBQ across the street??!
We personally like Heritage much better for the quality of the food. But Bad to the Bone does not run out of food mid-day like Heritage, it's got live entertainment on weekend evenings, and it's very popular with the local equestrian crowd, so usually well-attended, but never a problem getting a seat.
@@steveandyoung I guess it is the cost of living here in SoCal that is driving everything through the roof. You pay a lot more and you get a whole lot less. I've been to TX and many of the southern states that are known for BBQs and have experienced what good BBQ is like. It's been a few years since I was at Bad to the Bone but it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Today, I was at Heritage and after all the fanfare, the food was good but not necessarily commensurate with the prices. The bill today for lunch for two came to $140.00. Granted, we had plenty left over to take home. What I was disappointed with was everything was priced individually and there were nothing that you could just order and call it a meal! Considering the prices were very high, that may be a deterrent for many to return no matter how great the smoked meats are! The current prices are what I'd call outrageous. If the prices were cut 50%, I'd say it would be worth going back. But at this rate, $10.00 for a sauced up taco, or $7.00 for one cornbread or $10.00 banana bread pudding, I'd say it is pretty outrageous. The food was good but not the best I've had.
Y
Y not? 😉
Grits are like the mashed potatoes of breakfast. Thank you so much for including us in your food-ventures once again❤. That spread looked sooo 🥰.
Grits: the unsung heroes of breakfast! They really know how to step up and fill that potato-shaped void in our mornings!
Oh my goodness! This is such a wonderful video! Everything looks delicious. Aloha 🌺
I just subscribed because of your wife 😊
I'll remember to thank her! 😉
Just FYI, this is not the wine that won in Judgement of paris. This is stags leap. The won that won was stags leap wine cellars.
So, it’s Stags’ Leap vs. Stags Leap Wine Cellars-sounds like a classic case of “who wore it better” in the wine world!
Good job Young!
Thanks! She's just trying to keep her "young" spirit alive-like a fine wine (or coffee) that refuses to age!
Reading... as in Reading, Berkshire in the UK - Hence the pronunciation
It's like the town wanted to keep us on our toes with that pronunciation-who knew reading could be so confusing?
❤😂😊😮
😀
너무 멎져요
A caffeine-fueled journey!
Country fried steak is not chicken. It's usually round beef with brown gravy. "Chicken fried steak" is served with white gravy. Fried green tomatoes in honey and pimento cheese, crackers on fried chicken, you make my ancestors cry! That food looked horrible. Don't go there! Knoxville is a lousy culinary destination. Go to Birmingham or Bufford Highway in Atlanta.
OMG, thank you for sharing! I've been eyeing Katz's pastrami due to its reputation :) I'm so happy that the park is still on the meat and even happier that they ship to Canada!! Thank you for showing us how to prepare the packaged meat!
No problem! Just remember, with great pastrami comes great responsibility-responsibility to share it with friends (or not, your call)!
what time of year is the party?
They usually have an Insignia Release party in May, and another one in November. Members are usually notified a few months earlier and given the opportunity to go on one of three different weekends.
Spectacular video, thank you friend
Spectacular? I might have to add that to my resume! “Professional Spectacular Video Creator” has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? 😀
Wow! I think I would have liked the Fried Green Tomatoes/Pimento Cheese without the hot honey. But both entrees looked great.
Hot honey is like that friend who always shows up uninvited-sometimes you love it, but other times you wonder what they were thinking!😉
Yeah!! Southern food is good y'all!!❤ Thank you for all the foodie fun!
Southern food: where every bite is a celebration and your taste buds throw a party! Glad you’re joining the feast!
That's not southern food. That is an unreported war crime. We should call the International Criminal Court (ICC). They may have a reward.
Everything looked super yummy! I would have been disappointed expecting steak and getting chicken breast too. Love pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes but you forgot the okra!
I don't always love Okra in Southern restaurants. Sometimes, it's a little too slimy. But the best Okra I ever had was in a Pakistani restaurant in London, "New Tayyabs." Amazing restaurant, and the Okra was crispy on the outside and tender inside, perfectly spiced, and just delicious!
@@steveandyoung Lately I've been cutting the tops off and slicing in half lengthwise toss in olive oil sprinkle with creole seasoning and roast in oven. My husband and I can be okra pigs when it comes to this preparation, of course fried is alway good. The Pakistani way sounds wonderful!
Our daughter lives in Oahu (husband in the navy) so I really enjoy Oahu content since I'm there often!
Sounds like you have a built-in tour guide to Oahu! Just remember, it's okay to be a bit jealous of your daughter’s beach days!
Sounds like your having a good time!
We had such a blast in Nashville! And soon, back to Oahu!

Ok so Scoma’s or Fog harbor? My friend is coming to visit me and gotta take her to fisherman’s wharf. Made reservations for those two restaurants since I did not know which one is better. My friend said she wants to eat clam chowder. Also which restaurant has a better view?
Fog Harbor has the better view, and is a little more modern, while Scoma's is more classic, and out on the pier. The clam chowder at both is fire, but the Crab Louie at Scoma's is, without a doubt, som e of the best I've ever had. The other main courses at Fog Harbor are modern and very good, but Scoma's is classic and very good (and the waiters are in tuxedoes). You can't go wrong with either, but it's more a question of your personal preference. Bread is great at both.
@@steveandyoung Thank you very much for your reply. Interesting, observing and comparing your reactions in two videos, I thought you would say you’d like Scomas, better. Food looks fresher in scomas video. But this is for my friend, so I may have to choose Fog Harbor since it got a better view. Also Scomas told me that they cannot guarantee Waterfront view tables as they are seated on a first come first served basis. Thanx again!
🎉😂❤
😀
I just received mine today, came to see, how do you tell when it’s tender ….
We just followed the directions that came with the package. Great to hear you got yours! To check for tenderness, you can gently poke it with a fork or your finger; it should give slightly without being mushy.
I agree, one of the best meals in p Spain for us, too. I want to mention chef is amazing and so humble, comes and serves every one, very personable and kind. I will definitely go back to the restaurant when back in Bilbao. Love your vireos, very professional and descriptive and knowledgeable. Thanks!!.
A humble chef and a delicious meal! It sounds like we’ve found the perfect recipe for a return trip! Thank you for the compliment.
Memphis Bbq looks so unique. I'm used to sauce on my ribs.
They do have sauce on the side that you can put on them. But it is unique because of the heavy dry rub put on them just before they're served.
Looked good! I'm glad you enjoyed your half lobster, and Young enjoyed the other half that you didn't know about.
Well, they say sharing is caring, but I didn't sign up for Young’s secret lobster buffet!

Is the spinach seasoned up?
It had a nice garlic touch to it, but no other seasonings that I remember. I do remember a faint, horseradish-like taste, so they could have been mustard greens,
우와😮 맛있겠다 😅
맛있겠다니, 그럼 다음번엔 같이 맛보러 가야겠네요! 😄
OMG! That looked amazing, worth the drive from San Diego. Young cracked me up, better watch your self she might start gnawing on your arm.🤣

I've been craving manapua. I personally don't enjoy the honolulu kitchen manapua as much as the manapua man style steamed charsiu manapua. Hope the places you mentioned are still around. Thanks!

I go to holy smokes next door for the nice flower to smoke....best to eat then smoke.
So, it's a culinary and botanical experience all in one? Talk about a two-for-one special! P.S. -- Sometimes it's more fun to smoke first. Then, the munchies help you appreciate the good food more. 😉
Man, montreat college student here and seeing this video after having to evacuate campus, due to being hit by the hurricane, is just truly heartbreaking.
We've been watching videos of the aftermath of the hurricane. It is truly heartbreaking, and we wish everyone there the best.
No no no. This pimientos are de Gernika
Ah, a true aficionado! I guess it’s time to retire my “pimientos” and embrace the Gernika legend!
Besides the bbq, I love the people of Tennessee. I seriously would like to retire there. They are amazing friendly folks. I took home a bottle of Rendezvous rub. Thanks for the video.
Tennessee: where the BBQ is smoky and the hospitality is even smokier! Enjoy that Rendezvous rub - may it bring you many delicious meals and friendly conversations! Just remember, if you start talking to BBQ sauce bottles like they’re your friends, it might be time to reassess your life choices! 😂
Oh, how I loved my one & only first to Old City coffee. I brought coffee syrup home on the SEPTA rail, so I couldn't bring much home one my one & only trip. Hopefully soon! I know some of the Amish from LanCo....the Dienner family. My one friend must have fully retired (Smucker's Meats/Grill?) last time I check I didn't see him as a vendor. I am friends with a lot of Amish in LanCo.
Sounds like your love for coffee syrup knows no bounds! Maybe next time, you can start a coffee syrup fan club with your Amish friends from Lancaster County!
scrapple is fantastic
I have a Korean niece who says the same thing about intestines. And I know some who won't touch foie or chopped liver, but I like those. To each his own, I guess.
Moros were nomads..Arabs not African.
The Moors who took over Spain primarily came from North Africa, specifically the region that includes present-day Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. They were largely composed of Berber and Arab groups. When the Moors invaded the Iberian Peninsula in the early 8th century, the majority of them were of Berber descent from the Maghreb, which is the western part of North Africa. After the initial conquests, many Arabs also settled in the region, further influencing the culture and demographics of the area. So, we know that culturally, they were Arabic, but they did come mostly from North Africa.
Even Young has her spicy limits. 🔥🔥🔥Hope she recovered from that experience.
Haha, spicy limits are real! I think we all learned that the hard way-one too many pieces of hot chicken and you're questioning all your life choices!
뭐야 뭐야😂
Very, very hot chicken!
El Arepon is just outside the back gate of Offutt AFB in Bellevue, NE (near Omaha.) I showed the owner your TH-cam and told him I wanted the same meal. He was cheerful and friendly, plus I enjoyed the meal. Thanks,
Nice! Now We're just waiting for him to name a dish after us-maybe “The Epicurean Special”? 😉
