Just a little short video of some mulching I got done this week for a customer down by the white river. Had to wait for things to dry up as much as possible due to steep embankments that lead right to the river… was a enjoyable job, of course my battery went dead before I completed the job so here is just a portion for you all to enjoy.

Some footage of our Cat299D3 XE with Fecon BH074SS eating through some unwanted trees, this being real time footage, not a shortened with music video. Just a quick video of some forestry mulching for a customer that wanted rid of these trees around his home. This was a good day of mulching for sure. All 6”-10” trees with the bases bigger than that. Got out today to enjoy some machine time in our Cat 299D3 XE, using our Fecon forestry mulcher. It was a good day to play and make use of our machine. this is my first video and run on our new Cat 299D3XE, Debris Management level 2 with extra guarding. also running a new Fecon BH74SS FGT head. Sorry I am new to this all, there is no sound for some reason. Again this is my first run, took about an hour to get the hang of the machine and head and still have a lot to learn. Can you use carbide teeth on the DC rotors? I have a chance to pick up a rig that has the BH74SS head pretty reasonable but it has the depth control rotor on it with knife blades and I have not been able to determine if the carbide teeth can be used on these rotors with the rings. We use carbides around here due to all the sand & sandstone. I just have zero experience with the DCR heads and cant seem to find a lot of information on them. I just dont want to make an expensive mistake buying a head that can ONLY run knives.
I honestly don’t know that, Fecon would answer your question I’m sure and get you set up with whatever you need… my personal thought is you should be able to run either or but again I don’t know.

Please set your camera to 1280x720 or 1920x1080 - these are an HD 16x9 aspect ratio - these settings fill the screen properly (no black bars on each side) with respect :)
Do you all like these short style videos or the full length no edit videos? I kind of like these shortened videos but they do seem to skip around rather quickly…
I was correct, my forestry mulcher was not running high flow, I am so looking forward to running it as was intended and seeing how it acts, stay tuned for the next video when I get time of what a difference high flow will make.

How so?
Because as you can see in the video it hardly does shit and is smoking the carbides! That fecon head is for brush mulching not 2 foot diameter stump grinding, that why they make a machine called a stump grinder

I found some sound for this one, LoL. Not sure why my camera quit recording sound… will figure into that on next shoot.
