I know you posted this a while back but here's how I patch kayaks. Take a piece of scrap tarp (like the blue plastic kind) and fold it up a few of layers thick. Take a flat metal putty knife and heat it with a torch. Set the end of the folded tarp on the crack and use the hot knife to spread and mash the melted tarp it in the crack. Reheat the blade and keep spreading and mashing the melted tarp in the crack. It bonds really well and stays somewhat flexible.

I read the comments on this beforehand; the people saying not to kill this fish or rinse it with water are 100% correct. If you get the flesh wet at all, it QUICKLY turns into chewy mush. The way this guy cleaned his was unnecessary in detail and also washing it like that with the hose certainly ruined it. I tried doing a real quick rinse RIGHT BEFORE frying and even that made it mushy.

It did take me however a few months to develop my technique to where now I throw a circle. Used to not do too bad, but they weren't the best throws now I've learned to hold an opening of the net with my left hand. Go down about 2 ft. And when I'm throwing it out there I'm throwing it like a backwards frisbee. So when it comes out of my hand it immediately spins and opens up like a complete circle. Also, it's so fulfilling whenever you pull in that net and have a bunch of good bait. Always make sure you throw back the ones you're not legally able to take. ❤ I'm a big fan of catch and release on Big fish but I understand bait fish are bait fish for a reason. Getting ate in the river no matter what

Thank you for making informative videos like this for people that don't know how to throw a cast net. My grandpa always told me a good fisherman never pays for bait. It's part of fishing even if you're fishing with a small jig catching bluegill and trout and other things. Circle of Life
