Set up wireless Codox trigger with 3 Elinchrom flash heads using one Codox receiver plugged into the master Elinchrom head and the other two heads set to optical slave. The works well in our white studio as the flash reflects of the white walls. It is a bit unreliable in a our black studio as the flash light does not get reflected to the optical sensor on the slave lights

This part is carrying the resin and aggregate mixture to the driveway, tipping, spreading and smoothing with a trowel or float. The finish looks very smooth like it has been rolled.

What is the price the material
It works out about £150 per square meter
I was told by a tech support person at ekoflo Tecnisoil that it's not recommended to put over concrete or stone and other solid substrates.
Laying resin on concrete is not ideal due to drainage, uneven settling and expansion problems. Resin bound aggregate is permeable letting rain through only to puddle on the concrete beneath. Breaking the concrete into small pieces alleviate these problem. We now generally install 200mm crushed concrete sub base, a 50mm resin base and a 20mm resin top. see lkresin.co.uk
Here I'm irish nd I'm doin this shit 15yrs... I first bought materials in Blackburn from a place called star uretech... as far as I'm concerned the lads here are doin a grand job... it looks great nd the system is fine... wheelbarrow, spread with lute nd troweled smooth... all yous gobshites givin out nd critizing would wanna giv it a rest... the sledge is a piece of shite cos the ground is never perfectly smooth, spray the trowel if u need to! ... nd 'the trowels on the wall!'🤣... so what... WELL DONE LADS GOOD VIDEO ND HOPE YE ARE BUSY 👍👍👍

Down pressure on the trowel is important and we are putting more on now days. That drive is still looking good 5 years later.

LK Installers were contracted to lay a resin patio at the back of my house. Without my knowledge they used a new experimental resin. The resin failed and LK Installers removed their useless product, leaving a pile of rubble. The company has refused to make the work right and clearly stated they will not return my money. Based on my experience I would advise everyone to avoid this company and to make your local friends aware.
Its supposed to allow water to drain through freely, but how can it if laid on concrete?
You should drill holes in the concrete
It's completely permeable... that has nothing to do with the concrete base its laid on!

You might want to invest in a proper tools and some ppe. Sled makes it so much easier to spread even layer of material, spazzle (you can get that in B&Q and it's sold as concrete leveling tool) power float takes off the need of manual polishing and the end result is much better, get some heavy duty knee pads as well ;)
U don’t use a power float on resin
@@danielbrooks8520 who told you that? I've been using powerfloats on resin bound for nearly 15 years. Some resin suppliers even supply them so I'm not sure why you think you can't use them.

how much time do you get to work with it before the resin goes off?
Depends on the type of resin and temperature. Some goes off withing 15-20 mins and some gives you more time. There is also option of using accelerator if you wish to speed up the curing.

Awful. Not done correctly. Who stands in the surface to lay it. You are led in it at one point. Also trowel left on the wall
totally agree with you Elliott and they want to teach people, ok well bad point here is that you tipped out whole barrow in one spot making you floater have to stretch and get in it not good, try smaller tips all around the edges this will not only make it easier for your floater but also speed up the work and even make the job better. another bad point get your trowler some knee pads.and you will find it better to line out your barrow with plastic sheeting this will make it tip better and make the barrows last longer. fi you really want to learn how to lay Resin Bound Paving come see me....
Robin Bishop Another point is to try using white spirits on your trowel every couple of sweeps this will make it better for you, and create a better finish.
Elliott Quinn Thanks for your comments, This was our first resin drive, Good points about the trowel and standing on the surface, cleanliness is important.
You can also use spray bottle and spray on trowel often, it doesn't affect the resin in any way and it slides much better
