Tiger V8 moves into the Garage!
My friend Chris has been dreaming about a two seater sports car for some time now… So after considering some options he has landed on a sunbeam Tiger… After test driving with very spongy brakes he decided it was the car for him!

So, the cost of service, more than basic “hands” model but well under a chronograph ? Not asking $ , just asking the category. Thanks
That Pininfarina 504 coupe is probably the perfect car.... gorgeous. Possibly even better than the drophead. I am a bit of a Peugeot fan mind, having worked for them in the early 80's and drove my fair share of 505's from Family Estates to Sti's.
The 62 was a great version of the Amazon. It had the padded dash that extended over the doors below the wing windows. Volvo should have never eliminated it. A person can still buy the padded dash, however I'm not sure if anyone sells the padded dash that goes on the doors. I never could find any. The 62 also had a really nice grille with a large chrome piece surrounding the outer edge. This a really nice car!
A major improvement, great!
I bought a1967 122s back in 2001 been driving it every day since then payed 75 dollars for it now that value❤😊😅😅
Awsome!
Our neighbor had a brown Peugeot 404. He was also our family doctor. I always looked forward to when he would carpool his son and me to our school. He went through the gears so fast. I believe he skipped straight from 1st into third gear. He had the car for a long time.
Nice! They are robust cars! If rust protected they last for ever…
What a super job, especially for DIY. Proper professional standards.
You are a very talented couple. Looks great.
My wife is! I’m not so sure about myself😂
Hello, I'm looking for an original bezel for a Citizen 68 5372 Diver. Also an original glass. Do you have something like that?
Check out instagram.com/togwatchparts/ he has exact reproduction crystals.
Do you have an original for sale?
@ no
Ok thanks
Great job on those seats!
Impressive work, I've got a Lancia 2000HF here that could do with similar repairs....😆
Excellent job!
The seats are looking SO much better. If you decide to renovate the rest of the interior it will lift the look of the car substantially.
Back seats next then carpet and door and panels! Makes it such a nice car to be in!
Nice video and a lovely Saab with beautiful color. My father one with same colour, 4 dr, my75, L spec. As it was a newer car , it had high seat backs and "safety" steering wheel. The other spec would have been LE, direct injection engine model. So not much specs to choose 😂. My father had several Saabs, as they were the safest cars on long journeys in harsh winter conditions here in Finland.
Wow, that's some pretty heavy hammering! 😂
🫎💪
I've always been interested in the Thor Heyerdahl Kontiki expedition and when Eterna became sponsors of my football club about 10 years ago that interest went up. They've since stopped, but the interest carries on. Now to watch the video. Bit of hum somewhere?
That would be the microscope fan😅
Penetrating oil?
@@Mitkawatch Ah right. It went away so fast anyway I was tempted to rewrite the message.
I did put that on the sliding pinion, but brute force was also required 😅
G'day, what year do u reckon the tungsten carbide super jet is from?? Thanks.❤😂🎉
65-67 is my best bet. No serial number on the case for dating it.
Do you know if the numbers on the back are 774890 would that indicate it was produced in 1977?
I would not know.
Oh wow! Ive always wanted the V8! Sorry I missed this. 😃
So awesome! Terrific job... The daydream sequence was hilarious! Klara has a much better idea what makes a Jaguar than the current management of the once-proud company. All the very best as always from everyone here at CWMC!
It was a pleasure to put together! The daydream sequence was heavily inspired by Deans French mime act! All the best to you guys!
Great video guys, a pleasure to look at, thanks for posting. Peugeot 404 - beautiful minimalist Pininfarina design. Cheers from Melbourne Australia.
Glad you enjoyed it👍😄
Lovely old car! I have a Peaugeot 504, and I make such trips around my Island of Sri Lanka. Quite enjoyable as these old classics are engineering masterpieces. Thank you for the entertainment , I enjoyed it very much.
504 is a lovely car also! I bet it’s lovely to drive in Sri Lanka!
I was a bit worried when I saw the thumbnail lol, but this is hilarious 😂
This is an exceptional Jag...... it started first try.
😂
Now that's a nice Jag!
I have to agree😄
when is the next episode of map men
G'day Mitka. One of the highlights of my life was driving a mint mid 70's XJ back in the mid 90's. Gorgeous car. The new offering? Hideous outside with an interior reminiscent of an airplane toilet. Yours is a lovely old girl. If I didn't already own a couple of 1962 Valiants with one being a fully custom V8 convertible I might be a bit jealous. My profile picture is my V8. Joel.
I have a soft spot for the fist gen Valiant! Nice one
Charming !
Brilliant. Thank you. Whoever came up with the New Woke Ad (SMT + CEO & Advert Dept) all deserves the sack. It is the normal employees, who will lose their jobs. Dealerships have invested heavily in the past product, and will now go out of business! More normal jobs lost. How much did the Telly Tubbies in the ad get paid. I do not think they will work again either!
beautifully finished caliber! indeed spectacular watch.
Shut up and take my money!
I love this video! My first car was a Triumph TR6, but that was only because at 15 and only having jobs mowing lawns and shoveling snow I couldn't afford an E-type V12. By the time I could afford one I was more into practical vehicles that suited my businesses. Like some watch rebrands (Blancpain, Breguet), Jaguar has changed hands so many times now that it has permanently broken its connection to its heritage. Unsurprisingly its marketing now looks like Swatch marketing. Expect colorful plastics along with those electric motors and a life expectancy of three to five years before the new ones, if they ever make it to market, hit the landfills.
I like how the crown and stem magically appear... the one part im looking for 😂
😅
You and your daughter have summed up what Jaguar represents far better than that ridiculous advert!
Yessss Clara love uuu
Thanks Imogen! Klara loves you 2
@@Mitkawatch really hope to see u soon and don’t worry I’m still pestering my parents 🫶

Absolutely excellent Mitka. Hilarious. Clara needs to be the next gen. of Jaguar PR. But they probably will be gone by then……. Can’t wait to share. 😄

Grace, pace and a dirty face !
Fantastic job. I have an Eterna 140T. Greatly underrated watches, especially considering they are basically the ones that created the whole stuff, on which now all of the Swatch Group movements are based(ETA movements)
Eterna are fantastic! Great quality and history. Very under rated by collectors today
Beautiful watch and one the first watch I remember thinking how good it looked , as an 9:year old .im fortunate to now own a Seawolf from the late 60s I think , 70-72 movement the same I be,ieve as the one worked on . I have a problem though , that it doesn’t seem to work automatically at all , or the hacking function . Time is accurate when wound manually and it runs well but just not in auto or hacking ? I’m sure I need a service or advice amd would welcome help from someone more experienced ? If you are offer such a service to a needy zodiac wearer ?
You better punt it on before the latest Jaguar advert effect value.
Exactly same year and colour as my stepdad's except his had a black vinyl roof. Parked outside the house car thieves broke in but for some reason couldn't steal it (think it was out of petrol) so they smashed every dial and guage including the steering wheel badge. Wasn't worth repairing (this was 1988) so he scrapped it and bought a used double six instead.
Thanks for sharing your story! Hope this car does not suffer the same fate 👀
I've had Series 2 and Series 3 Jags. 4.2 and XJ12 versions of the Series 3. They're all wonderful. Anyhow, on mornings like the one you have illustrated, I just pour warm to hot water onto all the screens and the side windows. Clears the frost instantly. And no, it diesn't crack the windscreen. Boiling water might, but not hot water from the tap - which, by the time you've walked from the kitchen to the car on a morning like that, has cooled a bit anyway in yur plastic container.
Great looking watch. Nice video as usual
Nicely done 👌
I actually did drive to Leicester and picked up a 1976 MGB GT! lol Mine needs a fair bit of bodywork, but it now has a good home. I hope… 😂
in the video the speed regulation is not visible, it is covered by the hands, which of the two levers is the one relating to the speed regulation, the upper one with the ruby or the lower curved one?
The regulator pointer will regulate the time by lengthening or shortening the hairspring.
Who would go swimming with a vintage watch on 😂
