is a shame that free version sucks....first because you can not sett upt the pen sensitivity....but we can always use Nomad
Yeah, Nomad is a great option for sure! 👍
Full video is always my favorite. But thanks for the videos! You are awesome
Good to know, thanks I’ll plan to keep doing the full realtime videos. 👍
Love this so much. Your videos were the deciding factor for me to buy a year of Zbrush after the iPad tutorials 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
That’s so great to hear! Thanks for letting me know, it means a lot! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing the reflection of light is too much high it may be of matcap I can’t see the process of sculpting thanks again
Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll try to use a different material for the next sculpt!
which inch is your ipad? looks like 11 inch? are you happy with this size? did you try 13 inch, does it worth it? Also how many gb of Ram is in your ipad? how many polys it can handle without lagging \ loosing undo history? thank you!
Hi @vlad - I'm using the Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (M4) Here's my affiliate link for the exact iPad if you're in the market: amzn.to/4dYAtB9 I haven't really stress-tested it to it's limits, but I've had no problem with lag at 5-10 million polys. I'll plan to do a video soon where I push it to it's limits.
Thanks for sharing your experience and tutorials it’s really helpful
That's great to hear, I'm glad you find them helpful! Thank you for the feedback!!
How to make in Arnold render ?
Hey good question @tatarin-1982 I haven’t used Arnold in years, and no longer have access to it. So I’m afraid I can’t answer your question. Best of luck, if I come across the answer, I will let you know. Cheers!
is this work on air Ipad or only on pro ?
Yes we can confirm this works on newer versions of the iPad pro.
@@cre8-or-die how about on the the new air I pad ?
Works fine on 5th gen ipad air as well. Plan on uprgrading soon though. I got mine on release as i wasnt sure i would spend as much time on my ipad as i did.
Thanks for sharing your results! That’s good to hear!
Ok but what if there are multiple small clips you need from the larger clip? This process seems to only allow you to take one small clip from a large one?
To remove multiple clips you need to set the in & out marker for each clip. So after you extract the first clip, move your markers to the second clip in & out locations, then the third and so on.
Mate great vid but life the music, can hardly hear what you're saying
Fair point! It definitely ended up louder than I anticipated. Here's a long form video I did that builds on the same topic. th-cam.com/video/NC-Z2h9gu2s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Z5uD2O1_0e1GNPdI

Thanks so much! This issue has been so frustrating and you came in like Superman! Thanks for the help!!!
Haha, glad it helped! Yeah, it was quite the revelation for me too when I finally realized what was going on!
I really like the way you comment and talk about everything you are doing. It makes it easier to follow along with than many other videos i have seen. Is there any way you can include the reference photo in the future? I know its your hand drawn sketch but it would be nice to have up on another screen while following along 😊 I appreciate the tutorial man! Looking forward to more videos
Thanks for the kind words Damon! Good feedback on sharing the sketch/reference as well.
next video I want to see you perform 'the resin-song' on that guitar....
Haha, I love it!
This is going to sound stupid, but I can't find decimation master anywhere.
LOL he liked the comment but still didn't tell us where it is😂
Thank you!!!!! Questions answered!!!!
Awesome!
Nice! I cant even figure out how to mirror an object!
There’s a couple ways to do it… depending on what you’re looking to accomplish. 1. Deformation/mirror/ 2. Modify topology/mirror and weld/
The UV Map isn't showing up on my Zbrush even though it's up to date. Do you know if this is only available for the upgraded version?
Yes, it’s only available in the paid version.
@@cre8-or-die ah shame. Thanks though!
Really incredibly useful to have a raw and real-time meander like this, something I’ve been looking for but not found before. Love your whole vibe as well, thank you!
Glad to here it MOX! Thanks for the feedback!
Does zbrush for ipad allows you to extrude with the gizmo ? On the desktop version you can, by holding the ctrl short key and moving the gizmo
That's a good question, I haven't tried that yet.
I’m a bit new to Zbrush, and especially for ipad. Can you pose the model after you’ve sculpted it. I can’t find any tutorials on it or if I do it’s for desktop version.
Sure thing, this video shows the process for posing detailed models on the iPad: th-cam.com/video/5E5OSJ_pzR4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=p1HUnZ-enkKzx6iO hope it helps!
This was super helpful. I went about this by first going to the preset library and finding the sphere with three sample image planes already preset. Then using your method I replaced the images in the three planes. Your video is letting me understand how to do this from scratch :) much appreciated
Awesome! Glad to hear it! Thanks for the feedback!!
This was helpful, because everyone recommends paid apps for refs
Awesome, glad it helped!
Can we import VDM or IMM brush that we baught online in to ipad Zbrush?
Yes definitely. Use the import button(down arrow) in the top left. If that doesn’t help, let me know and I’ll create a video about it.
@cre8-or-die Thank you for your reply. The video will help me a lot as I am quite new to this application. I wondering how to import the brushes and also wondering how to create VDM, IMM brushes by using only iPad. Thank you so much. 🙏 (My English not so good hope you will understand)
You’re an absolute lifesaver, thank you for your entire channel existing! I hope you have a wonderful day and that life treats you well! Maxon has no reason to make things so complicated, thank you again for this amazing video!

Glad to hear it, you're welcome!

You're welcome!
How do you save a photo in “files” to pull from.? You are not showing a lot of steps and assuming we all know how to do this
Hi Peter, that's a good question and good feedback. I'll work make a video ASAP that demonstrates this.
After dynamesh the quality will go out,how to get full quality
This is a good question! You can make a duplicate of your mesh before Dynamesh and then use "Project All" under Subtool tab to apply the high-lvel detail from your duplicate mesh to the mesh you just dyanmeshed.
Thanks!
You bet!
Thanks so much very helpful
You're very welcome!
Maybe you should practice and write down all the steps to complete tasks before starting your videos. They are difficult to follow and feel like a lot of time wasted on “figuring out” what to do.
Thanks for the feedback!
what ipad model is this?
I'm using the Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (M4) Here's my affiliate link for the exact iPad if you're in the market: amzn.to/4dYAtB9
This is the coolest video tutorial ever. It's Friday 11:50pm, and I want to watch this again and again.
Haha thanks @zilupe ! This comment made my day!
Does zbrush only work with iPad Pro? or does it also work with an iPad Air? thanks
Yeah it should work on all newer iPads. Your performance will suffer a little. Ideally, you want an iPad that works with the Apple Pencil as well.
The ipad pro max which cost (13-inch model $1,299.00 US) and the Apple Pencil Pro (costing and additional $129.00). So one would have to spend $1,428.00 and that is not the end of it, you have to pay an annual subscription cost to use "the "ZBrush for IPAD" app cost ($89.99). This is a very expensive hobby! "A hobby cost you money"
Yes, if this your sole purpose for buying an iPad Pro, and you do this strictly as a hobby then it is on the pricey side. That being said a lot of people use ZBrush and the iPad for work/profit and it can quickly pay for itself. Also, I can think of a lot of other hobbies that are a lot ore expensive-skiing/snowboarding, fly fishing, motorsports, hunting, etc. 😅
ZBrush is a very nice art but I don’t know anybody who makes money with this software. That’s just me and no one else. Who hires a a ZBrush Professional. I never saw a newspaper ad looking for a ZBrush artist.
14:43 how dare you ignore my message!
Haha 😂
What Ipad do you use?
I'm using the Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (M4) Here's my affiliate link for the exact iPad if you're in the market: amzn.to/4dYAtB9
Try using a Plane3D instead of a Cube3D for the Slicing part of your Key
I'll try that, thanks!
I need to learn this but how do I make the keys?
Hi SvenFx-22, I’ll make a quick video to illustrate how to actually make the keys 👍
Can you include how to export for printing from iPad to slicer
Hi Sven, I created a tutorial on how-to make the key here: th-cam.com/video/3_Eeu3DQTs4/w-d-xo.html
Here's my video on exporting for 3D print. In the description I also include a link to my video on slicing in Chitubox: th-cam.com/video/xEcJa3zqnio/w-d-xo.html
What if I wanna render it somewhere else? How can I make the fibers to turn into real mesh?
I’ve never actually tried that. If I can figure it out, I’ll get back to you. 🤔
Actually it is easier to copy move and resize spheres in Nomad than using zspheres in Zbrush for me. I don’t like the navigation in Zbrush. It feels laggy even if it is not.
Yeah, I hear ya. If you’re used to a certain program and the way they do it, it’s hard to want to switch.
Can you do a video on Tpose ?
Yeah, I recently did this: th-cam.com/video/_M2P6pxUybQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uo5Iv4b5df74kizv
@@cre8-or-die I meant proxy pose. Sorry my miscommunication
@@ctarno Awesome, thanks for the clarification. Yes, I think proxy pose would be a good one to tackle. I'll plan to do that video soon - stay-tuned!
@@cre8-or-die thank you so much
Wierd and bad filter hard to look at
Thanks for the feedback!
Hi. Just a noob question. Do your mesh determine the smoothness of the object? Or its doesnt matter whether your mesh is good or bad as long as you have many polycouns?
Hi Vero, yeah it's pretty much what you see is what you get. So if your model looks smooth in your computer than using the 3D resin printing process, it will end up smooth when printed. But yeah, actual clean topology or mesh is not important. Just high-polycount and making sure your model is "water tight"-meaning you model is enclosed you don't have holes in your mesh.
@@cre8-or-die thanks for the reply man!
What’s your process to split apart the individual pieces so they can be moved independently after you create them with the shadow box technique?
That's a good question. There are several ways to do that, using the slice tool, masking parts and spliting to separate subtools, etc. Sounds like a good subject for a future tutorial. Stay tuned!
👍
Thanks for your support!
