@@joannaq659 probably about 6-8 hours a day. 9-12 with a 1 hour break and then 1-4 or 5. I would also put a timer on and study for 59 minutes straight and then take a 10 minute break. When is your test??

@@beingdavina Oct 24! Ahhh Im completely psyching myself out about how to study. I did the AOTA packets months ago and I do feel like I learn that way (from paper and memorizing) but recently ive been watching OT Miri. She did help me learn the developmental stuff for sure. I need to figure out how to learn SCI levels more too because thats a weakness. And splints. I can def tell my weaknesses when I do the practice NBCOT exams and Im scoring like all over the place w the "mini practice tests" and saving test 1 and the full test for later. I may also buy their individual tests they have (you can buy 3). Overall everyone says do the tests but I just feel like Im doing awful on them haha. I think Im just avoiding focusing in on the areas I know Im weak in and def have to look at those this week asap!

@@joannaq659 I did the NBCOT and AOTA practice tests, but I also reviewed each answer and explanation as to why the other ones were wrong so if they were put into other questions I would know what it is. The biggest thing is your are not going to be able to memorize every single thing. Its not about rote memory, it is about being able to apply the knowledge you know. Also when taking the practice tests, read the question but do not come up with answer in your head just read the question then the answers and choose from that. (I found that I was coming up with answers in my head before reading the choices, and when the answer I thought of wasn’t a choice I would be thrown off.) and start coming up with some self care and ways to breath and take breaks during the exam, anxiety creeps in so fast while taking the actual exam that it can start to freak you out if you don’t have a way to combat it!!! I watch a lot of OT Miri, I also studied with friends which helped a lot because we were able to talk through some of the practice test questions we got wrong. You got this!!!!!

@@beingdavina Thanks. Yea I think I want to go back to my AOTA packets and review my weak points... OT miri has been helpful the past few days but theres so much I dont remember. I graduated awhile ago (didnt do the exam yet bc of illness!)

Honestly I am still super shy!! I just try to act like I am confident in doing it lol I also look at the bigger youtubers and see how they film in public without a care in the world and try to embody that. No one knows what you filming for, so I just try to go out and do it!! <3
