Fitting the Lightest Rear Barn Door Table for the 76 Series Toyota Land Cruiser by Svnty6 Fab
This is by far the lightest rear barn door table available for the 76 Series Toyota Land Cruiser made in Australia by Svnty6 Fab. Made in Brisbane from 3mm aluminium and only weighing 4.5kgs! In this 4WD Adventurer 76 Series Land Cruiser build video we show you how easy it is to fit the Svnty6 Fab rear barn door table. We also show you how well the Svnty6 Fab rear barn door table works. This is a great looking table, finished in a textured black powder coat. A great addition to the 76 Series Toyota Land Cruiser.
You can find the Svnty6 Fab 76 Series Toyota Land Cruiser rear barn door table on their website here - www.svnty6fab.com.au/products/rear-door-drop-down-table-to-suit-toyota-landcruiser-76-series-wagon

    PCV system hose has always a thermal insulation for a reason and the same hose is always short for a reason. This just is just introducing condensation risk to the exhaust gases and also increasing residence time of exhaust gases in the crankcase🚶🏻

      Hey mate. Yes and yes. Had no issues with water ingress. So works as it’s supposed to. Still have stock air box so still get tiny amounts of dust ingress but that’s only minimal during long days of driving with plenty of dust. For the cost and ease of install not requiring a big chunk of the side panel cut which can lead to rust issues, it’s a no brainer for me. Also had no issues with performance gain during dyno tune compared to others running Safari.

      Hey mate. The factory one isn’t sealed. Comes in a couple of pieces. Wanted a sealed one for water ingress. The TJM one is one piece, so sealed. Believe the factory one is mainly to deal with dust.

    I truly do love your setup. Very neat and very organised. I do have to say though, on the opposite when it comes to things in bags. One of the very first things I do when I buy an item that comes in a bag, is I get rid of the bag. I do agree that some things are better kept in the bag but boy oh boy do you save some time unpacking and packing when you get rid of the bag.

    • @4wdadventurer
      @4wdadventurer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate appreciate it. With the bags, for us, we move between the 76 and our camper trailer all the time. So having everything in bags makes it super quick and easy depending on which setup we are using. Grab a few bags from the trailer and throw them in the 76 and off we go. Really depends on how you use your setup. For us, bags make it really easy.

    Rv3 with a drifta 270 awning? I am thinking about trying this setup, how’s it going? Any info or pro’s and cons would be helpful 👍

    • @4wdadventurer
      @4wdadventurer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate. We have been using the RV3 for years now. We do have a camper trailer with a RTT but use the RV3 on solo trips or where we don’t take the trailer. It’s good for two people. Not much more room inside with two single self inflating mattresses. Super quick and easy to setup but bulky because of it. I do love it though. Stopped using my swag on solo trips and use the RV3 instead. With the 270 awning it is made by Supa Peg. Canvas is good as it dries out quickly. But at the time there weren’t many free standing options. Now I’d prefer a quicker setup awning. Although this one is not too bad. I do prefer proper canvas though compared to the new synthetic material everyone uses.

    Hi. Can you tell me if the top of the air ram is any higher than the highest point of the roof?

    • @4wdadventurer
      @4wdadventurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate. Just guessing but it’s probably about 50mm higher but hard to tell with our roof rack and the curve in the roof. It sits well below the pioneer platform. Hope that helps.

    Stupid question. Where did you get the carpet from. It looks like it matches the Drifta ones really close.

    • @4wdadventurer
      @4wdadventurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate. Not at all, we got that carpet from Bunnings. It’s a marine carpet with a rubber backing and charcoal in colour I think. It matches pretty close. Only problem is the rubber backing adds a bit of weight but it’s a lot thicker than the Drifta carpet so doesn’t easily get damaged which has already happened to the top of our drawers.

    Excellent setup, love. I set up my 100 series with similar ideas. Shows you dont need a trailer.

      Thanks Mack. Yeah you are right. If you get storage right and carry the correct gear you definitely don’t need one.

    What brand is that camp oven?

    • @4wdadventurer
      @4wdadventurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gday Dave. It’s a Kings one. But made by Southern Metal Spinners. They seem to make a lot of the Aussie camp ovens that other brands add their logo to. Was on special when we got it so went with the Kings branded one as we saved a few dollars.

      I’m sure you are right but we choose to carry a spun steel camp oven for the weight difference. Cast iron is just too heavy.

    Organization makes for a fun trip. I went across the Simpson in 2019 with a mate and every time he packed his car each morning it was packed differently. I knew where everything was in mine and he would turn his upside down just to find a bottle opener.

      Haha that’s the worst mate having stuff disorganised. A well organised does make any trip more fun. So much better when everything had its place and is easy to get to.

    Hi Putting grease on the bolts not a good idea because make them get loss instead would be better to use locknut liquid.

    • @4wdadventurer
      @4wdadventurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d agree with that mate when you aren’t removing bolts too often. We remove these every 10,000 kms when we change the filter so we are always checking tightness and easier to remove when not using locktite.

    Well set up, gives me confidence that a 76 will take as much as my current canopy setup.

    • @4wdadventurer
      @4wdadventurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers mate. Yeah if you can get the storage laid out well and have some good compact gear then you can get quite a bit in the 76. When we get the back seat out and make a few storage additions there with water etc it’ll then be tops for touring.

    Thanks, really good to see how you packed for the trip, definitely investing in some canvas and bootliner bags

    • @4wdadventurer
      @4wdadventurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers mate. Yeah canvas and bootliner bags make a massive difference. So much easier to pack and move. After this trip and all the rough roads, nothing got damaged. They work a treat.

      Thanks Shad appreciate it mate. Next project is to remove the back seat and get permanent water storage and more storage options for spares etc.

    Did you make everything above the Drifta draws?

      @4wdadventurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gday Steve. Yeah we made the side shelf and top shelf. We did up a blog post showing how we did it all. Check out the link below. 4wdadventurer.com/4wds/land-cruiser-build-diy-rear-drawer-additional-storage/
