About The Pearson Institute
How can societies around the world measurably reduce global conflict and its devastating impact? The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts seeks to confront this challenge head-on.
Our community of researchers is comprised of preeminent scholars from multiple disciplines who are applying the latest scientific methodologies to understand and address the complex mix of economic, political, religious, cultural, and psychological variables that fuel conflict and the damage it inflicts on countries, communities, and individuals.
Through The Pearson Global Forum, we’re bridging the gap between research and policy by convening academics and policymakers to discuss how evidence-based policies can help prevent and resolve conflicts.
We equip new generations of conflict scholars and policymakers with the skills they need to ask relevant questions, challenge the status quo, and design solutions that work. Situated within the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, The Pearson Institute and The Pearson Global Forum are destinations for those who care about creating a world more at peace.

His answers are extremely politicized. The numbers don't lie. There was an increase in the income of most Mexicans thanks to the increase of the minimum wage. An increase in the minimum wage is an increase in the floor for all in which the market calculates new offers. The problem is that the new floor is not nearly sufficient for the poorest to keep up with inflation. He is parroting silly talking points that are meant to demerit any efforts that were made by the current administration. Shit, I'm no Amlo fan, the man has a grayish record, but this increase to the minimum wage was critical to push many out of poverty. Still not enough though.

He presents strong economic arguments, but there's a tendency to focus on descriptive analysis without offering practical solutions. His treatment of populism and public sentiment feels dismissive, potentially overlooking key socio-political dynamics. At times, his tone shifts from academic critique to political rhetoric, especially on issues like the rule of law and populism, which blurs the line between neutral analysis and political opinion. While the discussion on poverty reduction is accurate, it may downplay risks like dependence on remittances and structural problems like informality. Dismissing public approval of democracy as mere populism also seems to ignore valid societal grievances. Mixing academic discourse with political rhetoric undermines the credibility of the analysis and raises ethical concerns, especially given his political background.

The title is biased in favour of Pakistan. Why do you ignore the history of the Muslims in India; how they came to kill us, rape us and destroy our culture and civilization since 7th century, and in 1947 how they divided our country by killing millions, and raping millions? Why do the Muslims stay in India when in 1947, they got their exclusive country Pakistan???? If they go away from India, most of our problem will be over.

Since the native, pre-existing faith of Kashmir was Hinduism, whose traditions are still kept alive by native Kashmiri Hindus who live as refugees outside of Muslim-majority Kashmir, isn't that simply a case of successful settler-colonization by the Mughals? Who "assimilated with the people" and imported their non-native culture from the Arab peninsula? Therefore, is a Kashmiri Hindus desire to "decolonize" Kashmir considered by a Kashmiri Muslim to be "colonizing Kashmir"? Her entire argument of forcefully integrating indigenous culture falls flat when said culture isn't even native to that land, and the true indigenous culture has been wiped out completely in the region.
