First of all, I am a researcher. I have researched in many things. Liquor ban in Gujarat is playing the worst part. 1. All the revenues goes into pocket of Bootleggers. 2. Middle people like politicians and legal authorities earning due to illegal liquor sale in Gujarat. 3. 50% of the women's think that we are happy with alcohol ban. But this is not a solution. Because anyone in Gujarat can get liquor from this bootleggers easily. So practically it is easy available. 4. 25% of the young citizens wants liquor ban removed. Rest 25% are married/couple and their wives wants liquor to be legal in Gujarat state. Why ?. When caught buying liquor or drunked. Usually legal authorities extort money for not going to jail or if you don't pay then you get jailed. It is of course nobody wants to go to jail. 5. As most of revenues goes in to the pocket of politicians, bootleggers and police officials. Government isn't earning much. Besides, now Government have came up with strict laws.But new laws are strict, it is still easily available. Bootlegging business is never going to end as it is endless. 6. You have option is to get permit if you are 40 years up. But not all are getting permit. To get the permit is nowadays very hard. 7. The most stupidity step by Gujarat Government is the VAT, they have rise the VAT to 65%. Means the liquor that you use buy at the price of 700 Rs are now 1300 Rs. So practically, Government are not losing their permit holders but also Foreign travelers too and besides, permit holder prefer to buy from bootleggers instead from permit. An permit holder, whom used to buy 5 units a month, will automatically buy 1 or 2 unit a month.Means Governments are pushing permit holders to buy from bootleggers. 8. Currently from 2017 to 2018 Gujarat Revenue after liquor through permit is about 100 crore's only. 9. By checking bootleggers, their revenue would be nearly 4000 crore's Rs as this much of liquor has been sold to people of Gujarat. 10. The liquor caught by legal authorities is about nearly 1000's crore's Rs. 11. 4000 crore's Rs is just what i am assuming that this much illegal liquor sold in Gujarat. Estimate could be more.I won't estimate less then 4000 crore's Rs. Now were are our Gujarat Government is facing issues by removing the ban. Currently it is BJP Government. If they remove the ban then definitely other political parties will raise the objection and that is the fear that BJP goverment are facing currently and before. The 50-60 years of ban by congress Government. Just because of political issues. BJP are not interested or they can't remove liquor ban in Gujarat. Removing this ban is bit a problem, as it is mention in history that this is mahatma gandhiji place, where gandhiji is born and so for the respect congress government ban liquor in Gujarat. Mahatma Gandhiji said the Alcohol is not good. But Gandhiji never said that it should be banned from consuming. So logically it comes to only one thing " RIGHT TO PRIVACY ". So logically any government can remove the ban if they want. But because of political fight like " Agar ban ko nikaal diya to sarkar gir jaayegi" an very common Excuse. But yes, they have no problems if Bootleggers are earning, legal authorities are earning, politicians are earning. But that corruption is not a big issue. So those whom are educated people who says that liquor ban should be removed are thinking positively and logically. And those who doesn't understand that through bootleggers, people can face crimes, corruption and bribery and other havala's are going on, were it can be stop and put to end and this 50% people whom has negative thinking that ban is better then they are living as a life of imagination. With ban, problems are never solved but it has rise always. I am not against BJP. BJP government are doing so good then any other government. But this issue is not going to get solved unless, Gujarat Government removes the ban on Liquor. Selling liquor on the basis through permit is not the perfect solution. There is a lot of things to go in detail. But i guess this is very enough for rightnow.
