First part of rebuilding our second bed. This is mainly my dad's project and he isn't into any social media work so he doesn't film that much, if all. I'll film as much as I'm around. I wish i had some pictures how bad the starting point was

First look into my project. Scania 143H from 1993. It's a 6x2 driveline, manual gearbox and liftable tag axle. Full leaf spring suspension. Motor is legendary 14.2L V8 turbodiesel. Aannd it's got chain lift so that beds and cranes are interchangeable Project pictures: ljheinonen.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Urheilua/Scania 143/
I see no grease /new grease on the pivot one nipple in front of you. Should use a paint scrapper and remove that old grease on your out rigger stabilizers. Not that I have but to ?? try the very thick "" oil""" here is it a {220 } Thought I would get it for a try of rust proofing ??? Haven't done that yet. hahahah At your last few seconds. Oh noooooo what did they do before all these modern ( Inconveniences ???)
@@edwardcarberry1095 yeah there is a ton of places to be greased. But like mentioned, not much usage and next summer we will redo everything from the truc behind the cab and then we'll take proper car of those things 😅 Crane would also need a lot of fixes, but its been used like 5 times this year so we havent bothered to take enough care of it, i know😅😅
As you can see I try to look after things. I was just looking up when I should change to winter engine oil , the start of the month it looks like? I will grease as well.
@@edwardcarberry1095 i appreciate it 🙏 luckily we dont have to do that, we'll park the scania for the winter and not wake up before march 😅 ive owned for a year, didnt prolly drive even 1000km, its just a project for me which will be taken care when the time is correct 😌
@@NikoNieminen2.0-ce2vc Would be best to pull your batteries for the winter, keeping them warm they last longer.
@@edwardcarberry1095 yeah indeed, especially as they arent needed at all, its worth the work. Those batteries are after all pretty expensive to replace 😅
I will be looking forward to seeing this Truck making it's way back to running working order, keep up the good work.
Actually, to be honest, it is almost there. Needs couple electronical issues, couple oil leaks fixed and inspected IF the frame rails arent too rotten. Then we'll put it to work and trying to find the weak links thatll break next 😅 our smallest goal is to have it on the road legally in May for spring field work 😅
Very nice! Good luck with your project. This is one series i will be watching!
Thank you for the support 🤟🥰
