I'm throwing the file into the project, but I'm getting an error like this.(Failed to open map file. This is most likely becausee the map was saved with a never version of the engine) Also versions are compatible. I would appreciate it if you could check your mail, thank you.

Nice work. Does this fix only the Shallow Water Solver? Because I tried to use Ripple Solver and it didn't have any response from any type of forces I tried to apply
For me only the Shallow Water too, but I didn't play with pugin much

nothing, i tried to rebuild plugin from preview 7, where water with foam work and..... it works :)

Thanks for the video, but after I installed the plugin, my map cant be opened anymore. Its a 4.26.2 project and I used the 4.26.2 archive, but still... "TestMap426.umap was saved with a newer custom version than the current. Tag 40D2FBA74B484CE5B0385A75884E499E Name 'Water' PackageVersion 7 MaxExpected 6"

@@SmilleR6R I started recreate foams in my project from the video initially without downloading plugins. Then I realized they are necessary, deleted fluidsim and dynamic force component BPs then resaved. Maybe its the problem, some default engine referencess could stay in map?
@@gaborgombor1313 Try: Open your uproject in text editor and delete ",{"Name": "Water","Enabled": true}", if still it not open, you may find older *.umap in backup folder. Let me know :)
@@SmilleR6R I tried all, but unfortunately, it happens the same. Though I tried to use a backup, I don't understand why restoring a backup would help, it just an earlier autosave of the same map. So it didn't fix. Probably it would work with a fresh empty project, but I don't want to recreate my level from the scratch. Maybe Epic fixes these problems and engine water will do proper foams for moving water actors.

Module 'UEWaterIntegration' (Engine Plugins) should not reference module 'Water' (Project). Hierarchy is Project -> Engine Programs -> Engine Plugins -> Engine.

@@davydumartheray530 You may change as Engine plugin too. You must delete (backup) original plugin. No rename, its not working

Thanks for the infos!! But I cant render the foam in the Movie Queue. Its shows correctly in the viewport when I simulate. When I play the sequencer it plays correctly too. But it doesnt render at all at Movie Queue. Do you know why? (everything renders ok in the movie queue, except the foam)
Is anyone able to successfully build an exe file with the water and foam working using this method without getting a error (UATHelper: Packaging (Windows (64-bit)): ERROR: System.ArgumentException: an item with the same key has already been added.) or the water just disappearing completely when you switch the water plugin of 4.26.1 with this rebuilt water plugin in the plugins folder?
I get the same problem while packaging, I tried to change the plugin inside the engine folder and nothing happens. This error shows up because the engine finds the original plugin and the one in the project folder so it conflicts between them, it would be cool if anyone comes up with the solution.
Thanks a lot for the plugin!! It works perfectly. The only issue I am currently facing is that it corrupts the existing levels containing water body. Is there any solution to that?
I dont understand... i did EXACTLY the same thing but when I try to put the Lake into the world, it does nothing... no water gets spawned... i first need to add the ocean body, then it works, but then when i add the fluid stuff, again exactly like you did, the water gets extremely buggy, glitching up and down, then i adjusted instead of "Terrain with elevation", I choose "Constant water depth", then it works fine but no foam is generated even though i turned it on... What am I missing???....

Hi, first of all many thank you very very much for the video and the file!! I finally managed to enable simulation. However the only condition is to have a big simulation plane (like you have in the video), "shallow" instead of "ripple" but the main issue is that it generates a noise that goes from center and reverberates on the shore (even without any interacting component). It never ends and after 2 minutes this is a mess, the whole surface is jiggling. This happens also with a little plane, but the simulation is harder to get. I tried to play with damping but that's not helping, if you have any idea that would be awesome 👍 PS : how did you fix the plugin? I mean why the Epic version isn't working?
Hey, I tried it and one thing you have to do is change the resolution in BP_FluidSim to 50 for example. Play with the resolution and the result will be good. I hope :-) Why the Epic version isn't working? I don't know. Maybe is still much buggy.
@@SmilleR6R Indeed the resolution can help. I can go up to 1090 and after that, that's armaggedon lol. Using "capture depth" instead of "terrain elevation" allows me to push resolution up to 2048 (works rather decently) and the simulation works also on the middle of the lake. Thanks again for your advices, now I have to understand why buoyancy doesn't work 😞

That is impressive. Do you think that a 3D model like the mesh of a boat could become the sphere and so create foam around itself ? But more importantly and I don't see that here, Do you think the waves themsleves could create the foam when they hit a mesh which is not moving ? like a non moving boat on the sea ? Anyway great work and thank you for sharing ! :)
Yeah, the foam from boat is really possible, maybe I try and post in next video. 2. question - I dont know :-D

I am using 4.26.1, when I place the plugin folder in the Project folder, the water contents simply wont show up. And when I am placing the plugin folder into the content folder of the Project, I can see the plugins but I can't make them work, the water won't deform unfortunately. But I am trying to use it with "Ocean water"
You must enable show plugin content. In content browser is show options, try it :)

I don't think so, but I haven't tried it. The plane from BP_FluidSim would be very large. You may try it and give us feedback :)

Nice! wonder where the problem was and if it got hotfixed. I got foam working with the Ripple Solver, but force foam has been very finicky. Hope they come up with a solution as its currently very hard to judge the force amounts, resolution, simulation size etc etc and what works
Your foam is working in release or preview version?
@@SmilleR6R I got ripple wave foam working in release, but not force foam. I think what trips most up is uncheck follow actor, make sure you’re simulating, set size and resolution correctly. Also have to check use fluid sim distance field. It’s tricky though because bunch of parameters on the materials, and different materials, the advect material on shallow water are really cool btw where you can add in water on force

@@vit_mcetsa problem is, that foam doesn't working in release from Launcher, it's working only in preview 7 version from Github on my side. Then you can only drag to scene and foam is here :)
