I had the great celebrated honer to meet both the fantastic Bob Gurr and the incredible Tony Baxter at either the Mouse Club, a Disneyana collecting club convention in 1980 or 1981, or at the NFFC Disneyana collecting club convention around 1984,85,86? Sorry I can’t remember the exact dates. Both men were remarkable astounding incredible extraordinary fascinating, kind interesting men you would ever meet. They both loved what they were doing and would talk your leg off. They both made a very significant and lasting positive impact on me, leaving a powerful memory of their presence or interaction with me. Thanks to both Bob Gurr and Tony Baxter, you both have the heart of Walt Disney. Thank you both. I have one question: who was the Disney imagineer that made the Orbitron and displayed it above pirates of the Caribbean in the Disney Gallery?

I loved the treasures Tony brought. Tony's points on traditional animation are gold! His tenacity, dedication, and reverence for Disney tradition is inspiring. I wish there was more of that at Disney these days.

Once more…as I savor all this detail…lets play ‘place the photo’…101 Major Imagineers (with signatures) in front of chain link fence with a stair. The stairs are gone, so one has to look at the grade along these buildings now…which expanded several times over the years, so sunlight and foothills. It’s all Super fascinating to me. THANKS Guys.

Would Disney be succesful if Disneyland didn't happen or failed? Did Walt need Disneyland to suceee or would he have been fine growing with just the animation?
