studying for the 2025 ap bio exam! thank you :)
Are we going to have a formula sheet on the exam?
Yes. I try to show you the formula from the formula sheet before I do the math. If there is no formula given, I will not have the little box showing the formula. Here's the series that has all of the formulas from the formula sheet with some practice/explanations for each --> apbiopenguins.weebly.com/math-mondays.html
@ ok thank you!

In our student example in the (o-e^2) you accidentally squared incorrectly 305.366 should be 335.366 other than that THANK YOU!!!!!! Great video!
@@anrew7529 oh no! 😩 looks like I accidentally dropped the 3 in the tens place. Thanks for catching my error. Sorry.
@ math is hard, and so was this topic until I came across your video so thank you!!!
THANK YOU QUEEN
hey i have a question, if i study through all your ap bio unit videos and do past papers is that enough to do well in the exam? Like i only use your ap unit videos as my resource to finish all 8 units by march and during march-may i spam past papers
@@gaithsaleh7880 hard to say. There are students who are able to do just that and be successful while others need more practice and application. I would at least work through the CED and ensure I know all of the information in it.
Thanks for these vids, they're really helping me right now!
@@Hi-vr8hx happy to help! ❤️
pdf in the website for unit 4 links to unit 3 pdf instead
@@YNAGUI08 yes, it’s a glitch. At the top of the page, there’s a link which will work.
This was so helpful thanks so much for being specific unlike college board

this was super helpful, I have my unit exam tomorrow! Thank you!
@@newyorkaaa always happy to help! Best wishes tomorrow! We have an ILD due to incoming winter weather.
Hey! I’ve been watching your ap bio videos! And it’s been great so far. I have a question - do I have to know the immune, nervous, and endocrine system (on how things work) for cell communication?
@@ihadnootheroptionihadtofind those can be used as illustrative examples but your knowledge of the animal systems is not required for the AP Exam. Check with your teacher if you need them for their classroom assessments 🫶🏻 best wishes this year! I’m so happy the videos have been helpful so far.
hellooo is this resource enough for Ap bio? I haven’t started anything I’ve just been studying on your videos, please do let me know thank you!
@@therandonamedtina everyone needs different things. I can’t answer to what you need to be successful. Check out the peer penguins to see what they used and their scores. apbiopenguins.weebly.com/past-penguins-data--feedback.html
@ thank you! One question sorry to bother, you do follow the Campbell book right?
@ I use the CED for this, but yes there’s probably a nod to Campbell since I use that textbook.
@@apbiopenguinsinsta-review4538 thank you so much! Once I do the Ap exam I’ll inform you about how much i got! happy to be a penguin 🐧!
Hi! I’m just curious if there’s a chance I would get a 3, 4,or a 5 by just watching the videos and actively listening/noting?
@@ihadnootheroptionihadtofind everyone is different, but you are welcome to see what other students used last year and their self reported scores on the exam here: apbiopenguins.weebly.com/past-penguins-data--feedback.html Many students reported using only the videos and got 3, 4, or 5 … so based on that - yes 🤩

11:52 where' the sulfur??
@@Cherryy68 it is in the R group. If you google the structure of cysteine and methionine, you will see there is a sulfur in the side chain. Every polypeptide starts with methionine as it is the result of the start codon in translation. Hope that helps ❤️🤓🐧
about to take unit 3 test, not a lot of hope but thank you for this video
Happy to help! You got this :)
What a brutal frq, oh my word. I might be screwed if this comes up in my unit 4 quiz or exam 😬
@@chriskwon6784 you are not kidding me 😳 good news if it is on your quiz… you have seen it before and theoretically will do better on it! Best wishes with the quiz.
Love you ❤
@@pat_toral 🥰🥰 thank you! I hope the video helps you study.
I never took chemistry…do you have any tips or advice about this unit because we’re already moving onto the second unit and I don’t 100% understand this one yet because of all the chemistry involved.
@@kalb6122 the biggest thing you need to understand is the polar vs nonpolar covalent bonding, hydrogen bonds, and functional groups. The chemistry is built into the topics so you learn the chemistry without realizing it. You got this!
Thankyou soooo much!!!
@@eshaalsiddiqui209 always happy to help! ❤️🤓🐧
Heard of your page from a friend studying AP Bio. You are making me want to actively study! I really hope I can get a 5! With your help I’m sure I’m a penguin and I’m dressed for success! If I come across any question I can’t do I’ll ask you (if that’s fine)
@@firasqtw 🥰 I hope you get your 5 on the exam. I think 40% or so of the students to used my resources (and answered my form) got a 5 on the exam so … you can definitely do it! Hey! I’m am confused on the part where both lipids and nucleic acids both have nitrogen. Then what is the thing about CHO CHO CHON CHONP or is this even real in ap bio?
I think the Amoeba Sisters came up with CHO CHO CHONS CHONP. Its referring to the elements that you need to know that are in it. Carbohydrates have CHO, Lipids have CHO, Proteins have CHONS, and Nucleic Acids have CHONP. Lipids do NOT have nitrogen - did I misspeak and say lipids instead of proteins? Some lipids have phosphorus (phospholipids).
@@apbiopenguinsinsta-review4538 ohhh I see, thank you so much.
I'm completely new to bio as i took biomed but switched in ap bio and I've noticed that when ever I try to study for this class like for example reading a book or even watching the video (you mention things like Monosccharides just in the first few min of the video) which I have never heard of Almost all the time I don't understand what I am reading or hearing. With that being said I am lost and I don't know what to do nor do i know where I can go to start from the basics, do you have any tips by chance?
@@hiamamuffin5155 it sounds like you are lost on your vocab which leads to overall misunderstanding. I would see if you can start looking up some of the vocab words as you read your textbook. I would read before class so you won’t be as lost.
@@apbiopenguinsinsta-review4538 do you recomend anyother practice sites for The AP Bio exam other than the resources you have, also now I'm able to understand vocab words as I've studied a bit however I was wondering if I would be 100% ready if I watched all the videos of these reviews plus the resources my teacher has given me.
@@apbiopenguinsinsta-review4538 I now understand the words more now that sometime has passed, is there anything else you would recommend for me to either study and practice with other than the resources you've provided. Because I would like at least a 4 idealy a 5 I was wondering if there's anything else that important
When do you grade their response, the same day, or after they do the correction?
@@seandrvenkar6094 immediately after. I have a 20 minute timer on the board. They grab the scoring guidelines and a highlighter when it goes off (or they are finished) and start scoring.
@@seandrvenkar6094 I misread 🤦🏻♀️ I grade the responses that night or the next day then return to the students so they can do the corrections. You can have the turn around time that works for you. Order of events: - students take FRQ - students score FRQ - teacher score FRQ - students complete corrections - teacher scores corrections

hi i’m taking the AP bio 2025, which videos should i watch? the ones here or the ones from two years ago on the macro learning channel. i started the first video from there
TBH the two videos are very similar. I wanted to be able to get credit for my work so I made new videos last year on my own platform. I modified and added some new practice questions on some of the videos. Plus, I might have explained something different or had a question in one versus the other. I asked the followers on IG and they asked me to make a new video this year so I will probably go live each year and end up making a new unit video each year during the Feb - May AP Review Season.

Cool!
wouldt water be formed of h-bonds not covalent bonds?
