Hello! Thanks for taking us along on this trip. I really enjoyed the sudden and unexpected British accented words. Lol. So, did you move to Oly yet? That's where I live and I'm just starting my rock hunting adventures. Not quite sure where to start but your video was helpful. Let me know if you have any tips for good sites (agates and carnelian) in Thurston County? Thanks and take care!
What a fun rocking spot! A bit harder on those flat light days...but what a nice shallow bed to look in! Maybe slow down a bit as you look...it gets a weeee be dizzying.. But...I think it looks like a perfect place!!!
You should get divers glove
There are a lot of good round rock to paint on.
Kind of looks like up the river from gold beach OR
Hi Erin, I've been over the Sandy bridge many times. Which side of the bridge are you at? That's a beautiful rock hunt. Gotta love our clear waters. How'd the Crocs work out in the river? Never been a fan. I'd love to hunt with you. You're a Hoot AND you know stuff 😂
So glad to see you embracing your change. Wee!
Hey haven't seen anything from you in a while and was just checking on ya ❤ hope you're doing well
Hi Kerick! I'm doing well. Moved to Olympia and started a new job, so I have been a little side tracked. I have a new short video to post soon. Thank you for reaching out! Have a great day. :-)
Which beach are u hunting please
I'm not sure. My sister and her hubby were driving. :-)
looks like fun, I wish I could get out and pick up some material. Taking care of an elderly person for now keeps me home bound. I just started rolling some saved materials tho and now have four large Tupperware containers of polished rock.
That sounds like a good start! Thanks for watching!
I’m out in the washougal and swift area. Always out on rock beds. You make me want to learn this stuff!!
I’ve heard Kalama has Geodes and amethyst, have you found any?
Not as of yet. I do find all colors of chalcedony though. Pink, lavender, grey. :-)
hello Erin, new suby here and fellow rockhound from Oregon.
Hello fellow rockhound!
Beautiful sharing
Hi I think there is fluorite up in a canyon there if I remember right
Whoa! That would be cool. We found some cool crystal plates, white quartz and granite.
Back in '82-83 when I lived in Camas, I found arrowheads in that river.
Wow! That would be the find of a lifetime!
Thanks for the great video. It's a plentiful river for sure!
Hiya from the East Coast!
Greetings! Thanks for watching!
Erin, you and I rock hound the same and have the same sense of humor. If you ever need a partner, let me know. I'm in Vancouver. 😊
U crack me up
Man! I was so excited. 😆
Good Afternoon fellow rock hound Adventurer! :) I've been watching you for awhile along with so many other adventures...I keep forgetting to watch ya from my phone instead of tv..so I could subscribe n like you!! I love going to the beach..or going to the creek near my ho.e. or even the rivers. Yay that its spring now. I finally went out after few weeks of not..and found some wonderful agates! 4:03 4:07
Wish I knew that spot, I’m drooling 😂

Nice rocks and a great area.
Brilliant area. Rock on.
Looked like a perfect day to be out rock hunting. So many pretty finds Erin ! Love the agates 😊
That's a pretty beach, you found some nice rocks, they well tumble really nice, thanks for sharing 😁
Thanks for watching
I have so many of those! Idk what they are called either!
Now is a great time to go when the lake is lowered and there are tons near the campgrounds. Nice large chunks
You have the eagle eye!
😊
👍👍👍💕
Hi Erin, thanks for another great video! I'm local to Ridgefield, WA and new to Rockhounding. I've got a three year old son who LOVES coming with. Finding areas during the winter has been tough because of all the high water. We found some decent spots along the Washougal a few weekends ago and had a great time out on the Wind River north of Carson in the Gorge. We haven't had too much luck in/around Kalama/Longview finding accessible creeks. Where do you recommend?
Haydu Park off of Kalama River Road. Park is awesome, playground, grass, ball fields with year round restrooms open and if you walk straight through the middle of the soccer fields and follow the trail through the trees, you'll come out at the gravel bar.
Cool video and neat finds Erin Rocks! Erin Walter, looks like a good day to get out, thank you for taking us along.
First! Woot!! Woot!!!
Kalama is pronounced Kah lah mah, not clama. It is my family name. But Mahalo for showing me the place of my great grandfather of Hawaii
I have lived in the area for 20 years. I do know how to pronounce it. :-) I may have been mumbling a little. Thank you for the clarification, however. And, how cool to have a town/river named after your family. :-)
So 😊
yea f that clay, i lived on the chehalis lol
Right?! Lol
