Just love the original sound of times gone by when we had some of the greatest musicians. Thank you sir.
I can hear Godfrey Winn's voice welcoming the listening housewives to this nostalgic radio show. These were the very best of British radio days. Thanks Maestro Man.
Hi Tony nothing like music to bring back all those wonderful memories flooding back nice to hear from you take care Maestro Man 📻.
Memories of great times come flooding back with your posts Maestro Man. You sir are my hero. Thank you so much for the time you take uploading this gems of the past. TOP MAN.
Hi Tony thanks for your nice comment yes great times I do enjoy uploading the videos takes a while but good fun all the best Maestro Man 👍.
Once again my friend you have surpassed yourself. Crystal clear recordings of some great classics. You should definitely host your own radio station. I for one would definitely tune in daily. Thank you again. Brilliant 🤩
Hi. I am from Malaysia, in my mid 40s, like things old and vintage. The first time I was exposed to such music was from watching Agatha Christie's Poirot, the one starring David Suchet. A thousand thank you putting such music in your channel. I love it.
Thanks for listening🌠📻
.
I wasn't born until '57 but this must makes me long for a slower paced time. Were you could just sit on a porch and listen to the radio.
Hi David I know what you mean pace of life is much to fast these days sometimes I when I feel really stressed I take my radio and find a quiet spot by a river listen to water babbling over the rocks turn my radio on very relaxing all the best Maestro man 👍.

FALLOUT ESSENTIALS
Why must you kids always equate these wonderful melodies to such dreary storylines?
My grandson loves fallout and all the music I will try to put more songs on from fallout 👍
When I was 9 and listening to Big L.. this was the pirate station my Dad listened to! Like Radio London, I remember it having a very strong clear signal.
Hi nice to hear from you yes Big L was a Great Station the best very professional and slick I try to keep the memories alive all the best Maestro man 👍📻!!
❤
A very nice selection easy listening. Reminds me of better times.
Thanks for your nice comment David good to hear from you again couldn’t agree more take care maestro.👍🙂
very relaxing!
Hi breaker thanks for your nice reply 🔔🔔🔔👍
The music back then was so charming - almost a sense of innocence about it.
Hi thanks for your comment yes indeed you’re so right!! 🔔🎼.
I got a transistor radio when I was 10 and listened to Luxembourg but Caroline appeared and that was it nothing was so great as the pirates. Yes loved London and the others but such wonderful music, the DJ's and jingles. A fantastic time until the bbc tried to copy the pirates but it was nothing in comparison. Thank you for sharing!!
Hi Michael your welcome thanks for your comment yes good times great music nothing like it since the BBC tried to copy even trying to copy the pirates jingles but they were rubbish and radio these days are boring Radio Caroline flashback is good and more like the old days and Caroline 648 is ok if you like album music all the best Maestro man.👍📻!!! and keep listening 🔔.
Great selection of songs. Real music.
Thank you, meet again.
Thanks David nice one look forward to hearing from you have you seen my other videos lots of offshore stuff on them.👍🙂.
I am 14 again listening to Radio Lux. Doing my homework. From 6.30 to close down midnight. Such super days and then came Caroline and wow I was on cloud nine. Ah so lucky to have been there. Secret Love 62? Blonde bomshell. Love the jingles.
Oh to be 14 again great days yes fantastic when the pirates came along great to hear pop music all day long the BBC only played one hour of pop a week been listening since 1964 giving my age away now.🎼!!!
1960 Ibought a transistor after a summer school hol job and that was it. I am addicted to music, my mum was the same. I listen now every day for 3/4 hours and often until 2/3!in the morning. Best medicine in the world. My son bought me Bose headphones for Christmas so even a song I was not bothered about sounds fab now haha. Love the pictures of I guess Radio London.
The Kathy Kirby version hit the Top Five in .. Dec 1963 - slugging it out with .. erm .. a group called The Beatles, also the Singing Nun, The Shads, Rusty Springboard, Gene Pitney, the Dave Clark Whatsits, Plevis's latest (Kiss Me Quick), the new one from Adam Faith, Billy Fury, The Rolling Stones, Susan Maughn, Bobby Vee, Brenda Lee, Del Shannon, The Swinging Blue Jeans, a chap from Coronation Street, a Chrimbo record from Dora Bryant - a battle over a revived oldie 'There I've Said It Again' (Bobby Vinton pipping Jimmy Young's version) .. and among that lot the still 'hot' sellers from Burly Shassy - I (Who Have Nothing), Mr Wynter - It's Almost Tomorrow, Matt Monro - From Russia With Love, Cliff's - Don't Talk To Him, and a French chap = Richard Anthony (also runners and fighters: Ted Heath 'The Telegoon Toon', Joe Loss - fighting Chubby Checker - 'Loddy Lo' .. his 'Phase Four' was a very popular play on the Pirates and Fab 208 .. Bern Elliott/ The Fenmen - 'Money', The Beatles against The Dowlands - 'All My Loving'). And if you recall most of those .. welcome to my world. What an era! ;o)
@@TheLeonhammwow. Yes I remember. I was a music addict then and now aged 75. The music unlike today was just so wonderful and we heard the first play I guess on Radio Luxembourg as it faded in and out. My homework took twice as long as I stopped to place my transistor up to my right ear. Ha ha. Now listening again so good to day dream back to days that will never return in a world full of lunatics who are intent in causing our way of life to end. Thank you for the post, interesting and nostalgic.
Cool stuff, fab. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for your nice comment glad you like my channel great memories all the best maestro man 👍📻!!!
Brilliant.. Don't forget Radio Caroline is still going strong today, Just ask Alexa to play 'Radio Caroline Flashback'

Great tunes s big thumbs up 👍 thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for listening all the best Maestro man 🙂!!
HI Maestro man my wife tells me she used to work for Caroline when she was living in Cambridge UK. She was paid one pound a week to deliver their posters lol hows that?
Hi Nigel can’t buy much with that these days was but worth a lot more back then I used to help my Grandfather cleaning widow’s after school usually paid 3/6d per house about £15.00 these days would have been great if one had been paid that way back then could have retired early lol !!!.
👍👍👍👍🎧🎸🎹
🎼🎷🎸🎺🔔!!!
❤❤
If anyone asks me, I would say the 90's sucked. Yet apparently there were a few good songs. Trust The Maestro Man to get them out! Thanks!
You’re welcome Gary much easier to find good tracks from the 60s have to see what else I can dig out!!😊
Hi Gary forgot to tell you radio Caroline 60th birthday today something about it on ITV news at 10 and probably on other news channels 👍
Love the 3 non blondes song one of my favourites growing up ❤xxx
Thank you maestro man such happy days, I was in East Anglia (UK) at the time and Caroline brought such joy and hope to a young life. Then along came BBC Radio 1 which was no competition to Caroline at all!
Hi your Lordship nice to hear from you again yes sir you are so right never listen to Radio1 tried to copy the pirates but absolute rubbish still are but we still have the memories happy listening and watching maestro man !!!😊.
Absolutely GREAT! I would like to hear the Caroline signature bell, and maybe some of the Djs Keith scues (cardboard shoes) and of course Kenny Everitt
Hi your lordship nice to hear from you I will see what I can do and see if I can put some of those great DJs on my channel kind regards Maestro man. 👍
Where were you in '62 ?
Hi Gary in 62 I was living in Essex working in the media for a while then working as a journalist while meddling in the music business now retired all the best Maestro man 📻👍.
@@maestroman918 Were you a DJ?
@garysmith9902 yes many years ago on radio 390 great times 👍!!
@@maestroman918 Cool!
You are a somebody!
Ah Buxted chicken. Another memory.
Nothing as great as Caroline has ever been repeated in regard to broadcasting. Simple.
Hi David your right you have good taste thank you for subscribing to my channel all the best Maestro man.👍📻.
Absolutely, nothing has ever come close. Great times great music
Great quality sound Maestro. Another great video and I am back in another time listening to great music. I worked school hols on a sea front selling burgers and ice cream from 10am until midnight 7 days a week and Caroline was playing full blast from my transistor during broadcasting hours. Made work fun. Certainly went through batteries 4 shillings sixpence for a P6 if I remember correctly. Ah life not as crazy as today.
Hi David as they say the legend lives on I’ve been on the radio ship in the 90s it’s a big ship great memories Maestro man.📻.
My transistor at that time was a compact Ross Tranny that worked off of a single PP9 Battery for if I bought a UK Never Ever Ready Battery it would cost me Half a Crown while if I was to buy an imported Battery Made in Japan it would cost just One Shilling and Nine-Pence and would last twice as long as the Never EVER Ready Battery.
Made my teenage years so special. Music available that had been unavailable before. Great simple happy days from July 64 to 1967. Thank you Ronan. Thank you for posting, 199 prior to 252. Thankfully Tony still playing the good stuff on Saturdays.
Thanks for listening yes good old times nothing like it since take care Maestro man📻.
