i do like la linea. if you are going for a holiday in gibraltar i whould definatly reccomend staying in la linea. its a clean, nice, bustling vibrant town and you will save over 50 perent on your accomodation by staying there rather than staying in gibraltar.

60 quid a week is not nearly enough for food/ groceries in Gib, everything is an absolute extortion. Apart from booze, cigarrettes & perfume, all else is massively overpriced

Spirits are cheaper but cider isn't! Generally a little bit pricier than the UK.

I love Gibraltar. I wanted to live here but the accommodation is to expensive. So I gave up. But I had an apartment near Marbella so I love Spain as well. But now live in the Philippines.

Forty years ago my wife and I got married on the Rock. We stayed at a small hotel just off main street where the rooms were above the shops overlooking the street. Can't remember the name. They were filming The Living Daylights at the time and the Hercules crew were in the same hotel. Lots of very late nights, which is why I probably cant remember the name of the hotel. Any ideas Nat?

Me and my familly really want to move here, i have a job that pays 50k a year i know i woildnt get that in gib but ibwould sacrifice half of this for the standard of living, my wife works for the NHS so maybe would be easy for her to get a job, im really interested but stuck.

Hi as a born and bred Gibraltarian and though our nationality is British, Gibraltarian culture is definitely not UK, it’s Mediterranean with a twist of British/Andalucian/Italian/Maltese, Moroccan and others all mix, we a multicultural society and our way of life is Mediterranean. We speak English and Spanish and a mixture of both, called Llanito or Yanito, our culinary/ cooking is Mediterranean and its deep rooted and definitely not fish and chips, though nice but more for tourist. Young people do speak Spanish, and it would be shame if that bilingualism is lost 🇬🇮
