the better Chrissy's original was a lot better! Ironically it was one of Chrissy A. and Mark's few mellow songs. Their stuff was generally harder and rawer than this other Chrissy H. Chrissy A. was one of the all time greats of rock. In her native Australia, there is an Amphlett Lane named after her.

Saw Chrissie & Pretenders on the Learning to Crawl tour. Perfect show. But we had to go hang out in the lobby during the opening act The Alarm b/c our eardrums were about to bleed. And I was a sound tech and my date was a guitar player so even our noise tolerance wasn't enough to stand against them.

I’ve always loved the lyrics in this song - didn’t realise the Pretenders version was a cover but dare I say this? Probably better than the original Emerging from a crushing divorce settlement that stripped me of half my pension after 10 fractious years of marriage so it’s very poignant. Could probably make a sharper video
