Join me in jolly cooperation as we piece together a timeline for the Lands Between!
The theories presented by this channel are woven not only from text descriptions and lines of dialogue, but from the wealth of visual evidence in the game. Using methods inspired by real world historians and archaeologists, we can thoughtfully analyze the art and architecture of the Lands Between to answer questions like “Who built the Divine Towers?” “When was Farum Azula destroyed?” and “What really happened on the Night of the Black Knives?”

Runes are Stars: The Missing Puzzle Piece | Elden Ring Lore
I am so excited to share this theory with you. I think we have been missing a key puzzle piece to understanding how magic works in this world. The Golden Runes function like stars, with mass and gravity. The most powerful beings have the most runes, the most mass, the most gravity, and the most weight. These individuals are Lords, and their souls are black holes. The Runes are stars, but they also symbolize our soul, our brain. This is because the brain and the cosmos both operate according to similar principles: the cosmos by the pull of gravity, the brain by the pull of meaning. We can use the Laws of Regression and Causality to describe them both.

The Erdtree is a Tree of Memories | Elden Ring Lore

The Erdtree is made of memories. The grace that gives us life IS memory, which means that we Tarnished ARE memories. All grace together represents the collective "memory of the world", which is imbued into the Erdtree. The Alliance of Night and Flame began with Rauh and the Smithing culture, who evolved into the Astrologers and Fire Giants. 8:42 rune. radagon. ranni. are you fucking kidding me george
really interesting how you related regression to radagon because if you use the spell at his statue it turns into marika
Marika == Radagon so it's kinda all the same in the end!
@@NamelessSingerEldenRing ya i atleast knew that part crazy relating them to all the star stuff tho it was really interesting if my brain could comprehend it XD
"i studied neuroscience for a bit" this fuckin rules this is exactly the type of person we need analyzing fromsoft writing. this is awesome
😁 I saw the patterns and it's one of the reasons why I am here!!! Thank you for the support ☺
I will not lie im not convinced of any of your conclusions but i bloody love this genre of increasingly complex 5d insane elden ring takes and want more from you
I will absolutely take this and i am working on the next as we speak
@NamelessSingerEldenRing let's gooo
Space is fake a gay.
Google "iris photography"
I was gonna crack a joke but I know I shouldn’t I don’t have the right O I don’t have the right
well now i'm curious and wanna know
killing it!
Interestingly enough, Rune of Marika, holding the biggest amount of runes (80k) doesn't follow the same pattern. Maybe it symbolizes her perverting the natural order of things? Also I fail to see the issue with runes being eyes AND being stars - to me it feels like it fits fractal structure of Elden RIng's narrative perfectly. Also as of I now it's kinda hard to say where do moons fit in in this entire cosmology? Black moon of Nokstella being the guide of stars is especially interesting in that regard. If runes are indeed memories, then the concept of increasing the number of our memory slots by using shards of totally black 'guide of countless stars kinda fits. It very well might be yet another black-hole like concept, since being 'guide of stars' does sound neatly similar to, well, being a center of mass with stars rotating around
Love the connection the fractal structure of ER's narrative bit. I would go even further and say that ER's universe has a fractal nature to it. Yeah there's also Leda's Rune which is different. I am not sure why yet. I think it has to do with the nature of the "vestiges of gold" that color the Rune. I kinda wonder if the difference between grace and other colored runes/spirit-like energy is strictly because of these vestiges of gold. But i haven't done my full "gold" deep dive into what it means yet. Moons are symbolized to be a "reflection" in the game. So you could say that the "moon" is our mind, perhaps, and it reflects the light of the "sun", the outside world maybe. As for the dark moon, i think it could be part of the black hole pattern. and since the black hole is the central pull of gravity or whatever, and runes are the knowledge/memories, the more of the "black" that you have the more you have gravitational pull and the more runes you can fit in the star's gravity. So yes I agree with you and think you are correct!
That would explain how our character can handle any weapon without knowing if saw it before or not, especially if some come from memories of the bosses.
You have become one of those TH-camrs that once your videos come out Iam like “Yep Iam watching this” And “Why the hell does he have soo few videos???”
Thank you 🥲 I am working on being faster with the videos!!! It has been a bit of a learning curve, but mainly the issue is that the metaphysics stuff is so complicated that it's been hard to decide what should fit in each video. But I am trying to get faster and faster so that we can get things down to 1 video every 3 weeks or so. Because DON'T YOU WORRY there is PLENTY of content
@ I look forward to seeing every single one of them.
The sacrifice of christ is not a myth :(
sorry :( it's way easier to talk about the story when i call it a myth and can compare it to other myths
I think, you might be the real goldmask
I've been convinced that the OG Eternal City/Empire is was the Ancient Dynasty. I forget who mentioned it, but Rome, the Eternal City has Ancient Architecture next to comparatively more modern buildings, which is the case with Upper and Lower Leyndell, but it is also the case with Uhl/Uld Architecture and the Nox cities. The real turning point for me is when one is analyzing the the Eternal cities, even the Nameless eternal city, there are none of the signs of meteor strikes (no floating rocks, no meteor deposits, no Starcaller priests, no falling star beasts/Malformed stars/Astals), BUT all of those things are found in the Ancient Dynast Ruins across the map. Further, it makes sense to me, too, Seeing they also have the plain paved roads, excellent stone work, dozens of dead trees, tablets showing they knew what the whole world looked like, the tree prophet, etc. Further further, Scum Mage painting Elden Jon as Feldon Jon with the plot for "one Tree to rule them all" gives means for gaining power and motive for retaliatory destruction. This would make the plot extremely old (to me), like just after or overlapping with the Titans and their Towers, given the Fell God associations. All that to say, the OG Rome, road builders empire starters were the Ancient Dynasty, Night-and-Flame type folks Don't ask how the DLC fits in lol
Okay your point about the starcallers and meteors is actually a really fucking brilliant one that idk if it has been pointed out to me before. because we do find starcallers in the Uld Ruins underground near-ish Nokstella. Alabaster/Onyx lords are near Grand Cloister too... hmmm i will think on this. because we also find starcallers near Castle Morne (unexplained) and outside of the walls of Leyndell (unexplained). Sadly I am not an expert on the Ancient Dynasty culture. It seems like others have kinda gotten a good idea for what the vibe of the Ancient Dynasty is, so I will weave them in eventually
.....no. They're eyes.
It seems like the way to unify the concepts of mind/brain and eyes is via the notion of the third eye. that is what the Rune represents it seems
This is an amazing video, but im sure there was a mistake about count ymir, hes a man not a woman.
LOL yeah i know hahaha I made this just before the DLC was released. HE LOOKED LIKE THE CARIAN STATUES OK AND THEY'RE ALL WOMEN he wants to be a mother. i got BAITED
@NamelessSingerEldenRing i thought the statues were based on ymir, but it does make sense that with his obsession to be a finger mother he would wear carian female garments
You can actually see the Sun when the sky is clear in Elden Ring, the Erdtree has not entirely replaced it in any form as there is also still night and day time. 13:49 it's right there, in the right side of the Erdtree.
The sun is an illusion. If you go to the mountaintops, above where the Erdtree's rays shine, it is no longer night and you cannot see the sun anymore. There is precedence for this being true from Dark Souls 1, where the sun in Anor Londo was an illusion which disappeared once you kill Gwynevere
@@NamelessSingerEldenRing Really ? What would be the point of makin such an illusion tho ? and is it stated somewhere ? i'm curious now
and i also wouldn't really count Dark Souls since it's a separate universe, but i know the Elden Ring takes inspiration from previous titles so i don't doubt it
Dam, is this a video game or philosophy
Farum Azula was destroyed by the battle between Placi and BAYLE!!!
possibly!!
So the big secret behind the sacred geometry is the world is a simulation in a computer? Wild.
Hmmmm I hadn't thought of it that way but maybe??? Not 100% sure how sacred geometry would relate to the simulation thing but I am definitely keeping both of those big ideas at the forefront of my mind
@NamelessSingerEldenRing I have been thinking a lot about this since I said it. The Great Runes are 1s and 0s. Godrick's Great Rune is called an anchor ring. An anchor code creates a hyperlink. Morgott's Rune is called an anchor that houses the base. Base code contains the essential functions of a program. Code mending describes the Mending Runes. Also the guts of a computer are full of golden rings and pins that look like golden runes and sites of grace/lost runes. Silver tears look like circuit weldings. Motherboards look like root systems. The disc the game comes on is a ring. It's alot of disparate ideas but it feels like there's something there.
It's probably less a simulation in a computer and more a self-simulation. I mean, from the outside in, it is literally a piece of software, yes, but the point is that the simulative aspects extend to inside the world of ER itself, as viewed from the inside out. Its closer to a self-simulation in a fractal, self-referential manner. Hence all the mimicry. After all, what is mimicry if not simulation?
@@RingsInARoot Oh, I also forgot that Fleeting Microcosm (i.e. the game, a microcosm of the macrocosm in which it's embedded) refers to itself as a "fleeting simulacra". So, more evidence pointing in the (self-)simulation direction. (interesting that it's the glowing black hole spell that makes this connection...)
this game is Full of moments of 'im SURE that means something but i have no idea what...' followed by a journey in which many times you see it again clearer and clearer until a larger picture forms masterful
So goddamn excited for you to catch up on our chat. we are about to blow this whole thing open
Fantastic video
I loved this theory, I think that the big bang separate the one great in to stars/outter gods and other starts like pastel are just smaller stars with less souls and the spiral is just the orbit of the big star moving through time pulling smaller stars to their individual will
I think you are probably 100% right, and that is very close to the theory i am building towards big bang == fracture of one great which actually makes WAY MORE SENSE to think about the big bang being a process of DIVISION, and not everything being all smushed in one singularity. there's a super cool but fairly long blog from Stephen Wolfram about how long blog about how the universe could have started and he bases it on rules for a simple computer simulation writings.stephenwolfram.com/2020/04/finally-we-may-have-a-path-to-the-fundamental-theory-of-physics-and-its-beautiful/ but basically one becomes two things, which relate to each other, and that process of multiplication continues, but you can think of it as a process of division because 2 things are coming from one thing... but it fits up with the notion of fractures. and then you can kinda think of the big bang as being like the "emanation of the spheres" from mythology. where the divine sphere (possibly the Empyrean) fractures into parts (us as spheres, possibly the runes), but each part is a reflection of the original sphere. just some random thoughts, i will bring them into videos eventually hahaha
This needs to be on SoME
The relation between the flame of frenzy and runes, i think is simple: runes are stored in the eyes, the flame of frenzy burns thoose runes out of the eyes. Runes is what are making people see the world a certain way, and the flame of frenzy burns that illusion away
Video number 1?? Excuse me???
Haha yeah! I mean I've made others at this point. But I waited a long time until I felt I had learned enough to make videos that were at the quality level I wanted. And I started out on Reddit with post theories, for when it came to having feedback!
what if ... Tarnished are The Others.
"... the Others "are strange, beautiful… think, oh… the Sidhe made of ice, something like that… a different sort of life… inhuman, elegant, dangerous."[5] Further, although Old Nan describes the Others as "dead things",[6] Martin has stated that the Others are not dead.[5] However, the Night's King's queen, presumably an Other due to her blue eyes and pale skin, is described as a "corpse queen" on account of her white, cold skin." Queen Rennala, Carian eMP of Kala Rya
LOL honestly this would be wild but we do kinda come in and kill literally everything in our path soooooooooo
dear @@NamelessSingerEldenRing i think the ice wall of "asoif" is a metaphor for a string of 🧬. the "Other"-ing of people is the propaganda spectacle any dominant society uses to foster obedience, among brute violence. the ice wall is our internal organic defense system. i also hear we look like little ants when looking at wester'o'eners attacking the wall from "bird's eye view". who decides what bacteria is good or bad ? what is a pest or not ? who decides what is wanted and unwanted beyond subjective moralism in a world ? that's why i think grrm never wrote a thing for elden ring. he and miyazaki discovered their shared kindergarten fandoms who ignore hints like care for the environment, stop wars or observe what bacteria, virus or hereditary diseases can impact in a body (think of the inbreeding of valyrians for instance, their beauty was always a trap for us to get caught up in. what's the price worthy to be desirable ? important to your tribe or his-story and king dominations ?). in ASOIAF we have Bran the Builder, Bran the King, Bran the Destroyer. in ER it's "one" name, Marika, and either all Brans are The One as Mary K. or there were different Maries, Roses, Lauras and what not too.
you mean kill every thing in the way just like the westero(n)ers but from the other side@@NamelessSingerEldenRing ?
