What do you think about adding Lawrence? I constantly hear that he’s tough for steelsong and for red/blue to deal with which are usually our toughest matchups, I’m bringing 2x copies for a set champ tomorrow to see how they do . I’m essentially running the list you all showcased with two lawrences for a hades and a fortisphere I feel like the sapphire steel boys have a good chance to win against anything with those two matchups being the toughest. If you need to, pawp can even heal the man back up lol Loving the content, always a sapphire steel player ever since I started the game and it’s awesome to see the love for it 💙🤍

Just ran your decklist, I really enjoy it! Thanks for sharing and congratulations! Love your insights and thoughts built into this deck. Steelsong is my home but just doesn't get what needs to be done but I didn't want to play Ruby Sapphire or Emerald Steel or Ruby Amethyst. I feel like this deck offers consistent starts that power it through the middle stages as well as late game options that Steelsong lacks. The Grab Your Sword into next turn Tinker Bell board wipe feels too good.

What are your thoughts on beast - Tragic hero? He is a 5 inkable, 3-5 on summon with draw power if no dmg or a 7-5 2 lore. Reminds me of Pluto a bit but does being in draw power. Would love to hear your thoughts? The other card too I was looking at running is 1 x Mufasa Ruler of Pride Rock. Because he would fill that 4th slot crab, has plenty of gas for us to recycle. Again would love to hear your thoughts 😊

Love all the discussion from a great panel of players! As much as I wish we had a better answer for Genie and Maui Shark, I think Zeus is probably it. I’m still testing Robin Hood myself for that added card draw element, but may have to make the switch to Zeus.

When a card says you may play a card from your hand into your inkwell face down and exerted, does the card you choose need to be inkable? Or can you put anything in your inkwell in this situation?

New player here came from 20 years of mtg great instruction on play lines of the deck

Ooo I hadn’t thought of the power of the new 2 cost Jim Hawkins until he brought it up. But with him always able to have at LEAST +2 Challenger on any turn he’s dry and able to challenge he’s already over statted. Then with Sail the AS being viable to play even late game (unlike a lot of other ramp card being heavily weighted towards early game) there will always be options to make him crazy buff.

I feel people are not assessing blue steel correctly after the set 4 meta. The base roots it had in the set 3 meta is still some of the best it has. I'm on blue steel for my last 2 major tournaments (1k and a win an enchanted) and top 4 split both of them. Let me know if you're interested in seeing a list
