    Its way faster and just as effective to leave them on the sprue. You can simply cut the sprue into the separate rows and then remove the excess verticals. You then effectively have them on separate sticks without actually having to glue them to.. well separate sticks. You can even leave one of the vertical pieces of sprue midway or at either end to act as a handle. The only models that need to be on actually stirrer sticks are the ones that need separate assembly. (excluding the SM missile troops as they only have one piece that need to be added.

    I've found that a gloss clear spray can is quick and easy to get most everything. It also avoids "frosting" that can happen with satin and mattes sprays. Then touching up with brush for any areas that need to be satin or matte after. Great video quality too.

    Great video series. Thank you for your efforts in getting this out to the LI fans. Just one suggestion for your future (post June 2024) painting, and filming of it: stick the individual figures along the edge of the holding stick so that the minis themselves are lighted correctly for the video. As you watch it, the stick is creating a shadow across the areas of interest and it is very hard to see the details you are painstakingly trying to record. Alternatively, add another light source above and in front of your position. Nonetheless, good job! Subscribers: +1 I look forward to more great works of art. 😉

      Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion! I have reworked my recording setup a bit since this video - using a proper camera and a bigger overhead light. I’d love to know if you still found the lighting in the fast attack box / titan video to be a problem. I’ll definitely look into changing up how I’m attaching them so I don’t paint in the shade. Thanks again!

    As an AT player and owner of 2 Warmaster, 2 Icono, 8 Warlord, 6 Nemesis, 12 Reaver, 16 Warhound and 4 Dire Wolfs, I had to say... magnetising the torso is totally pointless. Warhounds only needs weapon magnets. The rest of the titans can have head magnets too to chnage sryle (if you have 3d printed alternative heads). As the painting, it is really useful. I love their look too.

    If you make yourself a little jig, out of a spare clear flying stand rod, glued to an old round base, you can paint flyers without needing to touch them, I’ve got 8 made and they make flyers much more fun to paint especially with an airbrush. definitely agree about not just doing them on the sprue. I was cutting them out because im doing greenstuff helmets, but yeh ive tried a couple and its a ballache. Your methods probably best, although you can just cut out a section of sprue so the tops and sides are nice and exposed. Also find its a good idea to try out a few paint schemes first. Each mini is bassically worth nothing so it doesnt hurt to go through a few trying out different schemes so you can be really happy with your final army.

    • @WargamersWorkshop
      @WargamersWorkshop 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow, green stuff at this scale does indeed sound difficult haha. Just cutting back the sprue sounds like another pretty good way to tackle it. Good tip regarding trying a few schemes early on. Have you decided on your scheme yet?

      @@WargamersWorkshop yeh, i wanted something cbrn looking to represent tallarn from the book but I ended up mostly ripping off the steel legion haha I did go through about 8 different schemes though. I would recomend having some contrasting colours on the head and shoulder armour as that really pops at table top level. Stripes on the helmet/shoulder pads are also not difficult and add more variety, although idk how easy it is to add helmet stripes with the normal sized ones. Greenstuffing basic helmets is pretty easy but its obviously extra working you dont want to be doing with this many minis haha
