Welcome to Red Roots Evolution,
I’m by no mean an expert on bushcrafting or survival techniques. I do this as a hobby, mainly because I spend most of my free time, and work with the natural world and enjoy solving problems. Mainly exploring the same forest ecotype, including different ecosystems, I only use what is available here at this time within my favorite walkthrough environments. I’m far from pretending that what I do is exemplar. Not every project has been practiced multiple times before. And that is a main point, trying to solve an issue based on knowledge and how it could be achieved in short terms using the best candidate materials available. Thank you for your interest and comments.

Four Dimensional Cube With Bubbles
A Red Roots Evolution Shop Special #2
This video is about the building and testing of a science demo tool that simulates a four dimensional cube, a hypercube, a tesseract using natural forces. A cool and quite mesmerizing experiment that can lead you to deeper understanding of fluid surface tensions, least cost energy paths and how Nature optimizes its actions and developments through complex mechanisms, but also how unusual behaviors can be triggered by providing an adequate matrix, the right skeleton to stimulate the expansion of new geometries. Although the real tesseract is a lot more complex in terms of physics, for it carries theory on the fourth dimension aspect and more, the basic principles applicable here are accessible and easily related to the natural world just like Fibonacci. Using bubbles, this tesseract is obviously a simulate since bubbles are always leaning towards a spherical shape (the inner cube have visible spine curvatures). I wish you discoveries replicating this experiment. And many thanks for watching. Build your cube matrix the way you want it to be, it will work. Just make sure that your cube spines are well connected and about 1 or 2 mm in diameter. My cube is about 50mm per side. Have fun and try different geometrical shapes! And see you next time on the Red Roots Evolution.

Customized Paracord Bracelet

A Red Roots Evolution Shop Special #1 This quite a long video, and frankly, really aimed at people who are interesting in building their own paracord bracelet. I wanted to share the technique I use to customize mine, using heat shrink tubing (found at any good electronics store). I did not emphasized on some parts like the cobra knot weaving technique, you can find plenty of examples on the TH-...

Red Roots Evolution Project #4 Using tools from previous videos: Prepping a Hand Drill Friction Fire Kit th-cam.com/video/1uilJBSLG8Y/w-d-xo.html What an interesting turn of events for this project as I ultimately end up over fire to produce rosin pitch, but needed to start by looking for a critical component at the river bed, below the water line. Having no container, I decided to harvest fres...

Honing a Versatile Stone Scraper

Red Roots Evolution Project #2 To be honest, I was quite surprised at how much this little piece of rock could be used on a daily basis. Very much reliable, here is the versatile stone scraper. As an addition to my small stone chisel, a versatile stone scraper might be seen unnecessary because I could use the edges of my chisel to achieve similar results. But it proved to be quite useful in dif...
Shaping a Small Stone Chisel

Red Roots Evolution Project #1 Well here it starts…As a first project, I wanted a tool that could be easily carried around, solid, quickly made, and that could serve multiple purposes. I know quite a bit about forested environments and vegetal ecosystem dynamics but virtually nothing about rocks and minerals, and very far from flintknapping. So I picked up a piece of what there is a lot of arou...
