This is really starting to be a LOT of fun. I'm starting to make connections with a lot of really cool people with fantastic stories to tell. I stared out thinking of a a crime focus but the crazy stories have steered the boat all over the lake. Consequently I usually have 10 projects going at any given time.

How many people did the Cyclone roller coaster really kill?
I could only imagine why they keep messing this story up wtf
It has really been one excuse after another. In this last case, the prosecution has to start all over again from square one. There is definitely a WTF vibe going on.
For those keeping score at home, the trial of Robert Moore has been delayed yet again. It seems as though the new county prosecutor has recused herself from the trial because at one point she provided legal counsel to Moore. There is a hearing set for Feb 6th to determine who will prosecute moving forward. In essence, they are starting over. Moore has been incarcerated since January of 2021 for the (alleged) murder of Glenna White and is being held on a $1M bond. In further news I have not heard an update on the DNA results of Kathryn Mendez. I will continue to post updates as I receive them.
Quick update: Robert Moore’s trial has been postponed yet again. Today, the new county prosecutor has recused herself due to a conflict of interest as she at one time provided legal counsel to the Moore team. At this point there is a meeting set for Feb 6 of this year to discuss options for the prosecution moving forward. Stay tuned for additional delays, I mean additional updates.
Clevelander here great video
I worked at the nursing facility next to that place for 5 years and heard there was a tunnel system to the old hospital but I could never find it😢
There is a small cinder block building between the cjoldrens ward and the main hospital. I believe it served as a powerhouse. You can access the tunnels from that point. Several are blocked but it does lead to the main the hospital. There are quote a few videos on TH-cam that show people creeping around down there, Ive heard Stark Parks is very close to tearing it down. What a shame, it was a very cool place to just walk around the grounds.
I grew up in the 60's on the west side and remember my parents talking about this explosion...
That's cool! In researching this story one part I didnt really emphasize very much was the fact that they never really found out how or why this explosion occurred. I understand there used to be a lot of gas wells in Lakewood and Cleveland in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Oftentimes these wells were never recorded and just lost to time. If these wells were uncapped or just forgotten the trapped gas began to accumulate leading to this catastrophy. There was an engineering study completed but never really arrived at a conclusion. I wonder if the potential for another blast still exists today. Hmmmm. One of the things I like most about the West Side is that there are still little pieces of history left if you know where to look for them. Thanks for sharing your insight.
Great video! I've lived in the Cleveland area all my 54 years and feel like I know all there is to know. It amazes me to learn about events I never knew occurred. I traveled W. 117th daily in the mid 80's to get to high school and never knew the road once exploded. Thanks for teaching me something new!!
Thanks for the feedback! Cleveland seems to have plenty of weird little untold stories and dark history. A couple of recent stories I ran across: There used to be a roller coaster at the intersection of Route 237 and Brookpark Road (roughly the North East corner of the airport today). The rollercoaster was unusual in that you drove your car on it. I can't imagine the suspension repairs that were necessary after that! Also, this was NOT Puritas Park Amusement Park. There was also a somewhat short lived amusement park where the Rocky River Metroparks marina is today. One of the highlights was a high wire act that spanned the valley between Lakewood and RockyRiver. I think it was closed due to the overconsumption of alcohol and the associated problems. Thanks for watching!
@@LarchmontDan This is correct..!
@@LarchmontDan Interesting! Thanks for the additional pieces of info. I'd love to take my car on a roller coaster, lol.
Hahaha, honestly, I would too. I would haved loved to hear some teenage kid trying to talk his Dad into letting him borrow the car for the night to go on the roller coaster with his friends. In the morning the car is all torn up and his Dad asks “what happened to the car???? It looks like you drove it on a roller coaster!!!!!”
@@LarchmontDan Lol, hilarious! If only my dad knew some of the things I did with his 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 back in the day 🙂
You said ‘traveling show’ maybe that’s why she was never found. Took her and left. Probably a Jane doe box of bones in some other place 😢
From what I have read, the traveling show was made up of a band of people who operated the trucks, trailers, etc. and the actual performers were local high school kids. I believe that these employees were investigated and cleared. I will verify that though. I think that the police force was not prepared for this kind of thing and were overwhelmed and ill prepared for this kind of tragedy. So maybe the police didnt/couldnt give these kinds of leads due diligence that maybe they would today. This is such a sad, tragic case. I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that with so many people there (many friends, neighbors, classmates) that nobody could say what happened. Thanks for the feedback and I will look up the investigation into the carnival workers.

I like these stories with local ties. Thanks for sharing!
Hello My friends. Thanks for the feedback, it is genuinely appreciated! A few points if I may...These places can be challenging to find. It took me 3 times to figure it out. I heard a rumor that a friend of mine may be making signs to show you these trailheads (ahem). Stay tuned on that. I will also recommend 2 more videos if you are into the darker side of the Elliot family graves. My friends at Rogues Hollow Paranormal did an investigation and had some very interesting results. th-cam.com/video/eDgyDpHExPk/w-d-xo.html. If you are unfamiliar with the legend(s) behind this place, here is what I've found. The Elliot family grave is buried deep in the woods. I think (and someone correct me if Im wrong) the US Army Corp of Engineers was clearing this land and came across it not knowing about it previously. It's an old family graveyard and there used to be a semi-cryptic grave stone of 17-year-old Glamenza Elliott had the weird inscription:: “Remember youth as you pass by,” it cursed. “As you are now, so once was I.” Most of the stones are long gone but if you google it, there are a few decent articles with old pictures. There is also a legend about if you desecrate the gravestones or otherwise disrespect the family, a horrible fate will befall you. It supposedly was tested by a group of teenagers back in the 1970's. A group of 5 teens decided to test the legend so all they drove out to this grave and all the teens chipped a piece off of the graves except one. As they were leaving they were all killed in a horrible car wreck except for the one girl who didnt brake the piece off (of course). Or so the legend goes. But guess what. The legend is true, or close to it. For fun I checked it out on Newspapers.com and sure enough, I found an article about this wreck. I believe (sorry Im hazy on the details). But I "think" it was back either in the very late 1960's or early 70's. A car load of teens did visit this grave before attending a graduation party. The article DID NOT explicitly state anything about desecration or any tie from the wreck to the graveyard visit. Also, only one of the teens from the article died, not the other way around. But still pretty wild that we can trace a legend back to an actual story. I will try and find the link. The other legend is of an unusual woman from nearby town of Alliance that was deemed to be a witch by the town. They chatted her into the nearby woods and caught up with her. They either were A.) Testing her "witch-i- ness" or else B.) outright just killing her. Either way, they "pressed" her to death via the practice the art of pressing. Whereby they get the offending witch under a large board. Then large rocks began to be placed on the board one by one. Until the witch (or nots) simply is crushed under the weight. I searched for that story but didnt find anything about this legend. There is a pile of stones that is just down the hill from the Elliot Grave yard that is supposedly the witches grave. However I don't think this is an actual witches grave or even a grave at all. It appears to be the foundation of some structure like a barn or a house. The concrete had rebar in it so I don't think it was ever used for anything more than that. But then again, it doest really matter. The legend lives on. Then there is the story that these are all intertwined when the witch terrorized the Elliot family and was deemed a witch by the town mob. This is when and where they pressed her. So it wraps up the legends nice and tidy. Who knows? It took me 3 times to finally find it. It sort of clicks when you finally find it. I have visited this place 4 times. 3 by myself. It's a pretty cool weird cemetery in the middle of the woods. The stones are huge that make up the wall of the cemetery and have been there for a long time. I would imagine it would have taken a lot of effort way back then to haul these stones ALLLLLL the way into the woods and then up a hill just to create these walls. How did they do it? Im sure it was by horse or donkey or something like that. The walls are sandstone and may have been sourced locally. Too bad pictures don't exist of that place, or do they? So a couple of weird things did happen when I was there. I was taking video with a small, handheld camera with a stabilizing gimbal (DJI Pocket2). I was in the grave yard and set the camera on a tripod and started recording. The camera would not run for maybe more than a minute or two before the gimbal would give out. It was as if someone was pushing it or pressing on the lens. That had never happened before (or since). Weird. I had to reset it maybe 4 or 5 times. I also had another camera that had the battery drain quick. I had a K2 meter that was spiking. But here is my weird story. My friend and I finally found the graveyard and we were heading back on the trail leading back onto Cable Line lane. It was getting closer to dark and as we approached the trail I could see another person out hiking but they didnt see us. To avoid scaring the young lady walking we sort of greeted her loudly. She was maybe around 18-21 range, tall, short blond hair. Her clothes weren't trendy but what do I know about fashion? We commented on the very lovely weather but she responded with "Oh, are you ok with dogs?, because he might be coming back". She nodded down the trail but there was not an animal in sight. I asked her if she knew about the legend of the witch but she said she had not. She seemed in a hurry and it was getting dark so we quickly parted ways. My friend and I walked away began to chat discussing that she probably didnt have a dog and smartly remarked about the dog for her protection. More than that, what the heck is she doing going into a dark woods by herself. Yikes. As we were chatting and I quickly looked back and the young lady was gone. It couldn't have been more than 20 or so steps away before I looked back. I don't think she had time to run that fast and I sure would have heard. We were puzzled by her vanishing and quickly arrived at our car. But there was no other cars. So how did she get there? Where was she going? The nearest house was a loooooong way away. There is a parking lot on the other end trail and is a little under 3/4 mile. It might not sound like much but by going by yourself in a dark trail into the woods takes some guts. Good for her. I hope she made it where she was going. But still weird.
That was cool. Glad to learn about the history of Cleveland.
Thanks! I hope all is well in your end of the universe. Stay Warm!
Great video. I have been to so many of these places without even realizing this…
Very cool! I am working on part 2!
I was interested in checking it out. Is it on vermilion rd
Yes, it is off of Vermilion Rd where it buts into Jerusalem Rd. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franks_Site
I watched the first video and it says the trail doesn't end in the lake. I was where people partied all the time and it did end at the lake. When I was in highschool I was there several times back in the late 80s. I have a lot of fond memories of that place of swimming off fewtown road and it's sad what it is known for now
Hmmm, let me go back and take a look.
So if I think I understand, Fewtown Road today (at least on the the Southern/Western section) does not terminate into the Lake. I had heard that at one time it did (there was supposedly a witches cabin there). The small section of Watson Rd was where the boat ramp used to be. Could that be where you're thinking of? Or maybe the other (Northern) section of Fewtown? You may know more than me, I was not around this neck of the woods in the 80's.
I remember going down there in high school and my friend stopping in the middle of cry baby bridge and turning his head lights off. Good times
That was you?
I was wondering why it closed. Sad. Stupid people
Well it’s Ohio…… Crystal meth and Jesus and Trump.
Lmao lmao if your scared go to church. This is just a bridge lol.
Im not exactly sure how you got that out of this video but thanks for watching! And you are correct, this is a bridge and a cool one at that. In fact there are 2 unique features of this bridge. The first is that while the bridge itself is level, the bridge deck is at a slight incline. The second is that the bridge does not span the entire riverbed, but only the river itself. You should check it out!

You took a date to a rest stop? That sounds charming. As far as repelling off the cliff I would be afraid the shale would cut the rope but it sound like it worked for you but not my cup of tea. Im not sure what the "scared to go to church" thing is about but you do you my friend. Thanks for watching!😀
@LarchmontDan lol yes I also took dates to the Airport
@@blckspector Maybe I saw you there, When we were younger that was a fun place to just mess around. As I got a little older it was still cool to sit in the bomber squadron parking lot and watch planes take off and land.
@@LarchmontDan it sounds weird to take dates there lol. B4 911 you could literally go anywhere. To share that with a girl you trying to impress works everytime lol. The escalators back then were fun as well they were like trampolines lol. That rest area was a great place to have a picnic,it is beautiful.
There's something creepy about seeing the location of these missing people knowing something sinister happened within just a small distance between the person's home and the place they were heading/went to.... You're left wondering where the exact spot was where the person met with something chilling. In addition, they grew up in the area their whole life and must've felt safe, yet something brought it to all to a grinding halt 😢
Yes! This exactly. Additionally, we could be looking at the exact place she is buried today.
Was that one KIDDY PARK, not too far from there, in existance, in the 1950's? Perhaps, she's buried, near there? That park is closed, for the season, so now would be a great time, to look?
Good call. Memphis Kiddie Park opened in 1952 however there is a park next to the Kiddie Park that has long been tied to predators and other demons. This area was searched for Beverly during the investigation. I used to work very close to this location and would often wonder exactly "what if"...
DUCK-LIKE walk? Did Beverly have sort of trouble, with her feet? Perhaps these performers, saw Beverly walking, and thought that they could amse an audience, by having poor Beverly, walk that way?😞.
Im not 100% sure on that but I like the idea of thinking outside the box if you will. I believe the entertainers were local high school kids so the idea of mocking her and otherwise subjecting her to ridicule probably didnt happen. But flip that coin again. What if the entertainers were grown adults, maybe they could have watched the crowd more and been aware of unusual things.
Not to accuse anybody, of a crime they did not committ, but since a TRAVELING show, came through town, perhaps some of the performers, caught sight of Beverly, in the audience, and came up with a story, that they were looking for some kids, for some of their productions, and thought Beverly should try out? Just wondering. Would most likely be performers, with criminal records, or noted, as showing odd behaviors, every now and again?
The whole thing sounds shady.
Nice to see some info on this site. I live in the vicinity. One detail, though. Sunnyside and Vermilion roads do not intersect.
Great point and thanks for the correction. I would like to do a story about the skeletons found over at Leimbaughs Farm too someday.

I am from Beaver County Pa, where Sarah Boehm is from, currently, I live across the river from where she lived. She was only a couple years older than me, so I remember seeing her missing posters around. I am so glad that someone is bringing attention to her story because I’ve always thought there needed to be a podcast or something about her. She was also originally treated as a run away and her disappearance wasn’t reported on in the local paper until a few weeks after she went missing.
Thanks for sharing those stories! Hats off to the Murder Road Podcast team of keeping this story out there. I agree Sarah deserves to be remembered and hopefully her family can find peace and closure even after all this time. At this point I know it's a long shot but finding whoever did this would and applying suitable justice be a fitting end. Im not sure how much you are up on this case but I know the FBI raided her house (and the house next door that her Dad owned too) once the whole "runaway" story was proven false. Plus the whole letter seemed fabricated to me. Most reports don't paint her Dad in a very flattering light. The whole story is just so sad, lots of heartbreaks and loss, too much to go around. I know a lot of people are holding out hope for the DNA results to be announced when Kathryn Menendez was exhumed earlier this year.
@@LarchmontDan I google Sarah Boehm regularly to see if there are any updates to her case and I was interested to see that they exhumed Kathy to collect DNA. I have been waiting to hear about the results of that, but like you said, at this point it’s probably a long shot figuring this out. I’m still hopeful though.

Hahaha Im not sure I know what music that would be. In reality, I just wanted to show where this place and how to get there really more than exploring the cemetery but good point!
This is on route two and not scary i enjoy this rest stol
Dude where are you from? You pronounced Malachi's wrong, you kept calling Greene "Irish Danny Greene" and you called Detroit AVENUE Detroit road. At least you corrected yourself when you said you were downtown. Obviously you are not from around here.
Very grateful for this video and all your efforts to imform the people!
I camp here. Nice disc golf course too.
This is a beautiful area especially this time of year!
That's a very odd looking wall😢 they really did used to banish suspected witches to the woods and they did use rocks to crush as death sentence, slowly adding large stones strategically placed until crushed 😮. Boo!
Then there was the man they crushed til he confessed n each time he was asked he just said "more weight" until he died.
The grave you are showing is that of John Weybrecht, father of Col. CHARLES C. Weybrecht. The olives killed 5 guests, the waiter and the chef, not 19 guests. Still a large number. The Doughboy statue you show at the end is Col. Weybrecht’s monument. See our Marking Time in Alliance episode for more details. th-cam.com/video/gJrIxyJugGE/w-d-xo.html
Wow that is so crazy that anybody would take a child that young into such a dangerous place. I have gone to the park a few times and enjoyed walking around the area. It's a shame we can't even do that anymore
wow ......... just wow
Initially when you come to the road and go left and then backtrack and go the other way, why not go straight along the side of that farmers field? He would have been in a hurry and that seems the most plausible way to go to not be seen. Farmers often dump debris on stone around the perimeter of the fields. That area should be the first that is thoroughly searched with cadaver dogs.
You are 100% correct and that's what I did when I was driving (but not shown going straight in the video. I don't really like the way that turned out, it seems a little "clunky"), I was just trying to illustrate the point that he may have paused to decide what to do, which way to go. But judging on his past, you are probably correct in that he made a beeline to somewhere deserted out of town. Lots of fields, lots of dark, out of the way places especially as you head closer to the lake. I still have questions about this and would welcome any opinions. 1.) Did he intend to do this when he left the house? 2.) Did he have a spot in mind or was a matter of convenience? 3.) Did he have help?
@@LarchmontDan He insisted that he be the one to take her home and something happened. He had to get rid of her fast and I would think the fastest is that dirt farmers road or another like it nearby. He would want to be on familiar ground but out of sight. Farms have wells and septic systems that are often abandoned from a prior home. I would think he acted so fast that he couldn't involve someone else. I believe he took/did what he wanted and disposed of the poor girl. His insistence of taking her home was his beginning the plan. I may be wrong but I think that they could still smell him out in a field of cow dung. He reeks of responsibility. This is only my opinion and the man may be innocent. however his past actions....
@@michaelleeper3649 Agreed with you. It might sound unpleasant but he had a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time. He has a familial relationship with another family in the area that may have assisted but Im basing that purely on conjecture. I really think he took her straight to the lake and the rest is history. I grew up in Northern Ohio farmland and there was a couple of old wells and cistern that here dangerous to mess around near. My parents put the fear of God in me not to go near them and I now I see how easily one could fall in and nobody would ever know. But if you didnt know they were there it would take a long time to find them. I really don't think he was that smart and/or was never around them to know exactly where they were. But then again, who knows what was going through his mind that night. One point I didn't think I mentioned was that his defense team tried to get his previous conviction ruled inadmissible of course the judge allowed it as well as the magic car fire a week later.
