    As for the ticking, engine was low on oil obviously. I added 3-4 qts and the noise went away immediately (lifters tapping is what it sounded like). We drained oil, inspected filter and put new oil/filter with an additive. Sounded perfectly fine and ran smooth.

    I have a 2017 ford focus SE with the 1.0 engine. It is currently at the dealer for the oil pump recall. It was driving VERY poorly a few days before and then the brakes stopped working entirely. Hopefully the oil pump recall with cover any damages. Planning to trade it in for something else once I get it back. Great little car, just not happy with this predicament.

    • @Thedealershipguy
      @Thedealershipguy ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends, if you are getting a whole new cluster from a junkyard.....with different mileage than your car has then technically yes. It'll have to be programmed to have your cars mileage. There's services on ebay where you send your cluster to them and they change the mileage to the correct mileage. But this isn't necessary if you don't care if it has the wrong mileage. You can plug it in and it'll work just fine. If you are just unplugging it to gain access to something else and are plugging the same cluster back in....you dont have to do anything.
