Absolute perfection!

Love the cornets sound. I am a NZer and -played flugel in A Grade for years. NZ cornet players do not get this sound. Kyle Lawson is the only one and he is I believe principle cornet of Brighouse now. I played for Rotorua Brass many years. We were conducted by Colin Clayton whose father Elgar had been with (I think) Faireys before emigrating to New Zealand. Our band did get a more English sound than other New Zealand bands. Our principal cornet, Steve Thompson had a sound close to the English sound.

Brilliant....what a start to this day....to any day actually. The tradition of "the brass band" MUST be preserved where ever it still exists. Perhaps there are places in the US that still joy in this, but I don't know of any in New England. HOw blessed to have hearing say I when I encounter this and its like.....

Great performance ..but FFS will someone please write some new marches and ban Knight Templar / Senator / Ravenswood etc etc .. People have been playing the same old stuff for the last hundred years !!

What has the camera man got against the euphonium ? He does not show it when he has the melody. If you are taking the video make sure you know who has the melody! Very good tuneful playing by the band. Congratulations.

Cracking sound (especially bass trombone when playing an octave lower than written) :-). Great performance though some noticeable slips and tuning issues.

Who is the Pratt on second e flat bass.Really pisses me off.Cracking performance.But why does he not take the contest seriously.Idiot.No doubt a good player but.An Idiot.

Many people are against 'scratch ' bands on Whit Friday , but for me these guys get it totally right . No harm in dressing up in amusing clothes and having lots of fun on the march . But when they get on the contest stage , the joke's over and time to play to the best of their ability , and that's what these guys do . This is a great performance on probably very little rehearsal time . Hope to see you many times more .
