What do you think.of the seal profucts intended to be poured into the toilet? Thanks for the info. Never knew about the 90degree angle screw back.
❤
Really good. Enjoyed your tour. Just like I remember and treasure it for the rest of my life. The Army exhibition wasn't there yet, when i there. Thank you.

Find any big ones?
Have made it, the old-fashioned way a few times. Also in school we made it from just whipping heavy cream.
A great trip!
How far did you drill in?
It is hollow so as soon as you drill bit clears that is it
Thanks! I wonder about fixing my nightmare: I am old, stiff, and fat, so I have a terrible time trying to get into the fixed drivers seat because of the huge doghouse. It’s like playing Twister but I am not 12 years old. Can I get a special seat that slides back and makes entry easier, or can I find one that swivels around so I can get in and swivel back around. Getting into this drivers seat is a chore.
Thank you for your recommendation. I did exactly what you said and the two valves for the black and gray water that were stuck work like new. Thanks for the advice.
Solder and shrink wrap is your friends
Just did this thanks for taking the time to post . It works great
How far did you drill in?

Rv. Yo~ you created incredible ~🖐
How long of screw
Short screw just to plug the hole
After you drain the black tank take your spray lubricant spray the rod an the gate an rubber an that will keep it from sticking
No you have to lub the gate seals with silicone
Nice video, thanks for the help.
Works I’m sure, however, on my trailer the handle is a remote connection by cable to the actual valve which is inside of the insulated cover on the bottom of the trailer.
Such an amazing place!
Thank you for the video, works amazing ....You just save some people lots of money.....RV Dealers love to rip people off, they don"t care....
Don't you think you just lubricated the sludge buildup that's causing the problem? The sludge buildup will eventually get so bad even lubrication won't work. To solve the problem you need to pull and clean that gate valve or replace it (or, some think liquid additives like dish soap, etc. will eat that sludge away over time). Lubrication is just delaying the inevitable.
Jesus !how does he manage the crowds ?
Simple and it works! Thanks so much. Thats a great idea
Thanks Norm.
Can you provide details on the rubber stoppers? Where can I find those?
got the stoppers at Lowes
I have a used rig. The rods on the trap look like they may be bent some and the handle on the grau tank is broken off !! I like this hack very much. Good job!!! And thanks for sharing!!
Awesome idea... I have a 2015 Keystone Cougar fifth wheel and there are two remote levers for the black and gray tanks. They are cables and I was thinking the cable was sticking. My issue was with the gray water valve, as we usually leave it open and now couldn't close it... I was able to locate the dump gate valves and cut the belly open to access them. I attempted remove the valve itself and after removing the four bolts, the valve couldn't be removed due to the glued joints and secure tanks. I reinstalled the bolts. I was able to remove the cable clamp bracket by removing two philips head bolts and nuts and a finger tight nut and this allowed the removal of the cable bracket from the gate valve body. I then used Norm Burgess's idea of 3/32" drill and lube. It turned out it was the valve and not the cable. I placed a small machine screw in the hole and re assembled everything and it worked excellent. I took the cable bracket off of the black tank valve and did the same mod and secured everything. Closing up the belly with black gorilla tape. Thank you for this info. The most difficult thing was dealing with the under belly, once it was open and I could see it was just disassemble, drill, lubricate and reassemble. Thanks again.
Just add the oil done the commode when you add the chemicals.
Ok. We were wondering about that. But, I'm still wondering about adding oil to your tank. That doesn't sound right.
There are many concoctions to help lube up valves! I would use 1/2 cup of Dawn dish soap an cup of pinesall and a cup of citric cleaner! Make sure to add 2-3 gallons of water down toilet when drain black tank. I have been doing this for yrs an works great! Also if think have poop stuck or dry in black tank add a bag or 2 of Ice in toilet to help break down poop when take a camper on a ride it sloshes around and breaks up poop. Good Luck!
Not a good idea, some one did that and it really messed up the sensors
That’s an awesome tip!
So not they're brightest guy is the Marshall. I get it
Can I use coconut oil to lubricate these valves?.or WD-40?
WD 40
If you can get to the valve itself it will work
WD 40 works great
But silicon is better
I have bought a silicone lubricate spray it works fine.thanks for your sharing information.
Hoping to get the job
if you use a quarter cup of vegtable oil when you drop the tank your problem will disappear. this is especially helpful for people that cant get to the black tank valve. been rving for 5 years fulltime and this works. good luck
I’ve gotta try this because I have three valves buried up in the chassis and I’d have to drop the underbelly liner to get to them. Hope this works because 2 of the 3 gates are so hard to actuate.
so empty the tank then add the oil down drain or during???
@@rps714 Yeah. I didn't understand that either. Putting oil in your black tank----- won't that defeat your purposes of trying to get that tank clean and keep it clean??? I'm a newbie, so I don't understand a lot!!!😳
What about creekwater
i bet it will filter it out also.
The handle isn't stuck the valve is for me
Try turning the handle clockwise, the handle may have come unscrewed from the gate
Mine is stuck closed and full...I have no idea what to do. I cant fix this alone and I don't know what to do
Sounds like you're in deep chlt. Have never had to do it, but here is an idea......I'd use my big wet/dry shop vaccum and see if I could empty (mostly) through the toilet (probably take a few times), then I'd just have to deal with what might remain in tank. Id have a replacement valve on hand and replace it. I know many people can't handle the sewage aspect of it, but I was a plumber and it doesn't bother me. Otherwise, I'd try what is in video first, even though you can't work the handle, spray it every day for several days......then I would pull the rod until it either opened or broke before I would attempt my idea. Good luck.
Just call a guy that sucks septics out. They can clean it out easily from toilet.
nah, just dump vegetable oil down the drain... way easier and more effective
some other RVer have said that over time the vegetable oil will become sticky and freeze up the valve.
THANk You Brother! 😊 #GodBlessYou
More responsibilities than mentioned.
I was in the RV industry-we would spray the knife valve inside the poop tube pretty generously with lube and spray the handle rod/shaft. Work the handle back and forth til it’s Lucy goosey. I do like your hack. Cheers
