Please tell me this is satire! I really can’t tell anymore with how people just don’t think before they speak. One of the most beautiful aspects of music is that artists can and do “cross over” into different genres… yes… Cross Over is an actual term for it. The BEST part of Beyoncé’s Grammy was that it was presented by Taylor Swift, whom herself is a successful “Crossover Artist” in reverse. Let’s not forget… Beyoncé is a TEXAN and likely influenced by MANY county artists in her life. And ummm… don’t even get me started on all the other successful artists that have been leaping the genre fences all these years. If you don’t get it yet, take a music appreciation class. All the greats are trained to recognize the different sounds and fall in love with all kinds of music. Try it!

My dad grew up on a dairy ranch and I can’t remember him being sick until his later years after drinking processed milk. About a gallon a week at least. I support RFK’s desire to revamp nutritional content into our diets. Processed foods are abominable to our bodies. I look back to pictures of us in the 60’s and 70’s. Obesity wasn’t an issue. We kept introducing modified chemicals into foods until we were all dependent on big pharmaceutical companies. Now every fifth commercial is from big pharma. You think they WANT us healthy? Pfft.

Lady’s, thank you so much for providing valuable insight and context to this terrible measure. As a Sonoma county resident, this would have been devastating to us, and to your point, to agriculture throughout the state and nation. Happily, it died monumentally with a 15% yes to 85% no vote…as it should. Coming from a dairy family this vote was so important to me and my family. Bless you for getting the word out and helping to educate folks that don’t understand the intricacies of animal farming. I do fear the work has just begun for the animal agriculture industry. Years ago this measure would be unimaginable. Now the dynamics of voting and understanding of agriculture and the view of animal based agriculture has completely changed, and the loud minority is taking their radical beliefs to the streets. There needs to be more outreach to communities from agriculture to help people understand what it takes to feed America and why farms operate the way they do. Again, thank you so much for what you do here, and my thanks to you and other farmers for feeding America.
