I love this episode and that you brought up wood pulp. I live in NB Canada where a large part of our economy comes from forestry and wood transformation. My father has worked in the pulp and paper industry for 30 years. There is one family in particular (the Irving's) that monopolises the industry in our area from planting the trees to shipping the toilet paper and diapers they manufacture. It's been. Interesting to see how market prices for lumber and other things during covid reflects (or lack there of) the prices we see on the shelves for these products. Great conversation!

Phillip Morris changed their name (after a huge class action suit) to Altria and started selling (read pushing) cigarettes on 3rd world countries! I can easily see how they decided to ‘invest’ in junk foods as they are as you eluded to; legal crack cocaine, marketable to ALL ages! It is heinous and heartbreaking 💔
